Read moreIt was not a warm day. So you needed a hot drink and warming food. A hot chocolate and full breakfast was needed. My daughter ordered the drinks through the app. The consumption of a hot chocolate with a whipped topping, marshmallows and a dusting of chocolate powder gave us time to examine the menu closely. The lounge breakfast looked good, but the black pudding, extra sausage, extra fried egg and toast on the full breakfast was too tempting. It was not a cheap option at a little under £13.00 for a breakfast, but it came up hot and well cooked. The eggs yolks were runny, the hash browns had the external crispness and a soft centre. The bacon was not cooked to a crisp, the baked beans were served in a little pot, thus keeping the hash browns crisp. There was little button mushrooms. Neither of us enjoy tomatoes, so we ordered without those.
It was a hearty breakfast for a cold day. The waitresses and waiters were courteous, friendly and helpful. The app made ordering easy and efficient for my daughter, it took me a little while for me to find my way around it. Although I could have made my way to the bar and ordered there instead.
As it was a Sunday afternoon, the place was not especially busy, but there were a number of occupied tables.
Overall a good experiance, it is a place I would treat myself to on regular basis. However, if you are budget conscious then maybe...

The Food is ok, not the best or worst. But it was the service that was questionable on this occasion.
I ordered a gluten free avocado and falafel sandwich. At the time of ordering I asked what is came with and the member of staff at the till said salad. So I left it at that. When the order arrived I was presented with a halloumi salad. I questioned the order as it wasn’t what I’d asked for. They took the salad back.
Later they returned with a sandwich that was falafel and avocado, but with the halloumi. I didn’t ask for the halloumi and I picked that out. I like halloumi but it’s a cheese you eat at home when lactose can be an issue.
There was a price difference between the two items of around £2, so I asked for fries to make up the difference and the staff member said they would put them through gratis (no refunded given at this point).
The staff member then came over with a receipt and 35p. On the receipt they had charged me extra for the halloumi that had never been ordered in the first place.
By this point I’d lost the will to live with the order.
The place wasn’t overrun with customers so it’s seems silly that they would get it wrong.
Other than that - the tea was nice.
Just make sure the till staff repeat your order back to you,...
