Let’s start with the positive and reason why you should go - food was fantastic

Unfortunately for us we had poor experience with service. I book certain restaurants for service and quality of product, sadly tonight we only got one of these qualities! Started with our table not being ready, waited over 30 minutes in the “holding area”, placed our order whilst waiting which staff assumed we were happy to take that table rather than a table in the restaurant! We settled for the table. Food was good. We had no interaction with staff, no offer to top up wine, no attention at all! We were the forgotten “holding area” table! I even had to look for sugar for the coffees...

At the end of the night, people leaving, staff collecting coats/ jackets and helping guests dress, not on our table! Our coats were bundled on our sofa being used for our seating!

Once bill arrived, asked how we’d like to pay...... there wasn’t any ask if we had enjoyed the evening or if food was good! This is the minimum I’d expect at a restaurant of this quality! I suggested that the waiter might want to ask such question and advised that we were disappointed with the service... they removed the service charge... no understanding of disappointment for 4 people on how we booked this restaurant for the experience....

We ended up with Great Food but...

We came here for our wedding anniversary. It was our first time as the high prices have put us off, but as it was a special occasion, we thought we'd give it a try. Given the reviews and high prices, our expectations were high. Sadly those expectations were misplaced. The food was lovely and the service was friendly. But the service was slow. Our booking was for 8pm. We didn't get our main course until just before 10pm. They said it was because they were busy. If they cannot keep up with the number of tables they have on offer then they should operate as a smaller restaurant or get more staff. Otherwise everything was nice. I just cannot fathom how they can charge so much. For that price I expect to be wowed, not just nice. Rossinis is more reasonable, food just as good, service is quicker. We would only go back if they started charging more...

Fantastic experience! I came for dinner here with my partner and we had a lovely dinner with fantastic service and some deliciius wine. There was a brilliant atmosphere with a really welcoming feel. The food was absolutely stunning with a small enough menu to not have more choice than you need but enough to know we want to go back and try some more dishes. There where also specials on offer. We had the home made tapenade with our starters and it's a must try. For me the real highlight was the knowledge of the staff and there confidence in advising us about our choices especially when it came to the wine where the waiter chose our pairing for starters, mains and then a choice of desert wines for us to try. I would whole heartedly recommend you...
