A Craft Beer Haven with an Inviting Atmosphere! I recently visited this pub and had the pleasure of trying their craft beers, and let me tell you, they were fantastic! The variety and quality of the craft beer selection were truly impressive. Each sip was a flavorful journey, and it was evident that the pub takes great pride in curating an excellent beer menu. Whether you're a beer aficionado or simply appreciate a good brew, you'll find something to love here. The atmosphere of this pub was equally remarkable. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The interior had a cozy and rustic feel, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment to unwind and socialize. The lighting and decor added to the overall charm, making it a great place to spend time with friends or even have a casual date night. The staff at the pub were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the craft beers they served. They were more than happy to provide recommendations based on my preferences and engage in conversations about different beer styles. Their passion for craft beer was evident and added to the overall positive experience. Whether you're a beer connoisseur or someone looking to explore the world of craft beer, I highly recommend visiting this pub. The combination of excellent craft beer, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere makes it a top-notch destination. Cheers to a wonderful pub experience!

I always enjoy coming to the Shah of Persia pub in Poole, as they have a great selection of food and drinks and for affordable prices. Food, which their chef and other kitchen staff are preparing, is fresh and tasty. Their staff, in general, are hardworking, always very helpful, kind, and approachable. They always make sure that they deliver high quality of customer service. I would like to say a huge thank you to Millie, who has been looking after me multiple times, as I am a frequent customer here. Her friendly, kind, and highly approachable approach is always truly exceptional, and she always does her very best to help out with everything around the pub. Her colleague Carly is also hard working, doing her job thoroughly, has a good eye for detail, and makes sure everything is spotless. The pub manager, Jonathan, is also very approachable and friendly, humble, and respectful towards customers. Making sure the pub is spotless. I very much enjoy coming here, as the whole atmosphere is very homely, relaxing and calming when it is not busy, and when it is busy, it is full of happy customers with a positive energy. I also appreciate that this pub is always clean and tidy, including bathrooms, which I believe is important, as I don't like unclean pubs. So, for all the mentioned reasons and many more, I highly recommend this pub to everyone.

From the moment my daughter and myself met up with Andy, we knew that the Shah of Persia was exactly the right place for my daughter’s wedding reception. As the big day approached, Andy was excellent at communicating and nothing was too much trouble for him. On the day itself, my husband and myself had breakfast with our daughter, at the Shah, and it was tasty and delicious. Colin was in charge that morning and he and his team were so professional, warm and welcoming. When we got back from the Registry Office, we were welcomed with Prosecco and the whole place felt cosy and inviting. As for the food….the red pepper and tomato soup starter, was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and had a real ‘homemade’ taste. Every meal that was brought out was beautifully presented. I had the lasagne and it was one of the tastiest ones I have ever had. If you are looking for a small, intimate place for a wedding reception…..or for any special occasion….I cannot recommend the Shah of Persia highly enough. Andy and his team did an absolutely superb job of making my daughter’s day, VERY special and I can’t thank them enough 😊

Lighter bites for smaller appetites - I should have read the menu. I experienced the lunch time menu. I have visited the Shah of Persia before, and I am sentimentally attached to this pub. This time I was disappointed. For me it compares very poorly with a Wetherspoon pub or a Toby Inn. A pint of cider £5. £10.25 for the lunch time special. Indifferent soup Art nouveau Hunter's Chicken. I complained about the soup. No knife for butter, and stale pita type bread. When asked about the Hunter's Chicken I said it was OK Well it was OK. No serviette, I used the one that came with the soup. Long waits - no doubt they want you to buy drinks. OAP's don't eat very much. Funnily enough, I am going off massive 'eat all you can' meals. I got a sense that the cost of living crisis was beginning to bite. Also I didn't get the sense that the bar man was devastated when I complained about the soup. Am I a nasty person? It wasn't so much a special offer as a reduced menu.

This is a nice big pub with plenty bof parking ,it is on a very busy road with traffic lights ,one inside it's a very big pub restaurant plenty of tables it wasn't very busy when we went on Thursday afternoon for lunch we didn't need bro book & the friendly staff showed us to where we could chose a table to sit & a young man gave my husband a high chair for our grandson , the food was lovely & delivery was quite quick you have to scan the QR code to order & pay which my son did ,the pub could do with a little up grade decoration wise but other than that I would definitely recommend this place to drink & eat ,it is dog friendly with a good menu .

Everything went downhill in recent months. We have been coming at least once a month since we moved here in 2012. First they stopped doing the 2 for 1 Sundays, upped their prices of beer to almost London prices and there was no service available. Previously there were servers that would take care of you, now it's basically like a wetherspoons where you get everything by yourself. The Sunday roast used to be great but today it was absolutely cremated. Everything was bone dry including the roasties. My beef wasn't even well done, it was congratulations at this point. It's a shame because the 3 staff members that do work there are nice.
