My family and I tried Sheesh Mahal for the first time at the weekend, they have disabled access which I was grateful for as I'm an electric wheelchair user, we have severe allergies that the friendly staff said they could cater for and showed us the wonderful vegan selection of food on the menu and replaced dips with vegan alternatives. We had starters and a main each, unfortunately there was no Seitan (meat replacement) available for the mains but they had tofu or vegetables instead, so we were very happy with those options. The starters were delicious, with a wonderful array of flavour sauces to dip into. The main was exquisite, we all very much enjoyed our choices except for my eldest child, she didn't enjoy the Korma she ordered as it was too strong of a coconut flavour for her, the staff noticed instantly and asked if she would like something different, she tried our dishes and got the same as my wife which was the Balti, and the staff member replaced it immediately. Unfortunately there were no dessert options available for our dietary needs. Something simple like a sorbet on a aquafaba meringue nest with a little compote or syrup would have been perfect. Very impressed with the service, the wonderful staff, and it was very pleasant restaurant to dine in, although rather busy but that happens when the food and service is so good. We will definitely be coming back for more.

For the past two years me and my partner have walked passed this restaurant when walking our usual Seaton walk. We always said from the smell outside its gotta be good, we should go! But we never did until tonight we finally attended. A shame really because we realise what we have been missing out on. Lovely vibe and atmosphere which you dont often get in a restaurant. The staff are outstanding extremely helpful and friendly, that treated us as friends pranking me with a bathroom joke. The waitresses helped us pick from the extensive menu describing in detail each meal. i have eating at a few Indian restaurants but this menu amazed me. So extensive of which many i haven’t tried or heard of. I generally cant wait to go back. The entire meal was truly enenjoyable couldnt fault it one bit. The naan bread is worth a mention they are huge but sadly you still need more as they are sooo gooood they almost have a artisan feel to them. **update We have visited several times since my first review. We enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. Making the most of the special day, we enjoyed a number of courses. The food and service as always was unbeatable. Look forward to our next visit.

The food was exceptionally good, cooked fresh and was very quick. Staff went over and above the service required, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. I am going to recommend to all my friends, it was amazing. I’m really looking forward to going back. I had the Chikken Tikka Palak and coconut naan. Absolutely gorgeous, tasty food. My friend had the Ocra (which was soooo good, very tasty), and she had the chicken paneer, and a roasted aubergine, and something else I can’t remember. Anyway it was all perfect. Go you won’t be disappointed A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩

"Last Saturday, we celebrated my son's 17th birthday at Sheesh Mahal in Hartlepool, and it was a fantastic experience! The Indian meal we had was absolutely delicious, with a wonderful variety of flavors and dishes that pleased everyone at the table.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a special celebration. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It was a memorable night, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate this milestone.

I highly recommend Sheesh Mahal for anyone looking for great food and a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be...
