I first visited here not long after it opened with my husband and was lucky to have a chance to revisit when we were staying for 4 days in that part of the north east back in October 2022. We both really enjoyed seeing the HMS Trincomalee again and the Historic Quay. On this visit I took movie footage and photos as I didn't have a digital camera last time. There is a lot to see for all members of the family and I recommend the booklet I got from the visitor centre as it tells us such a lot about Trincomalee and her time in service. Read moreWe stumbled across this place and hesitated due to the £10 entry fee as we only wanted to see the ship, however, we are glad we did go in as there is so much to see and do, you can even get on the ship and explore all the different levels. The courtyard is full of interesting interactive displays, with a cafe on site. We particularly enjoyed the amunitions live display too ...makes you think about how awful the conditions must have...
