We visited Shell House Kitchen on 18 July 2025. Passing thru and not knowing Ledbury, we were first declined at another hight street coffee shop which didn't accept dogs. Their loss and our gain as it happens, as Shells Kitchen was a complete gem in our opinion! We only wanted a coffee and bacon and egg sarny on our journey home. Eventhough our staple request could be had in many establishments, I can honestly say Shells Kitchen stood out from the off. Our welcome felt honest and genuine, the capuccino coffee was truly to die for (really tasty and puts other well known coffee houses to shame!), and perfectly cooked thick bacon and egg sarny really hit the spot. The staff serving were honestly so nice, with dog treats offered to add to the friendly experience, that if I lived within 10 miles of this establishment I would definately travel here every time! They deserve every positive feedback given as I'm now sure they are totally genuine. Shells Kitchen delivers exactly what most people would like when spending their hard earned pounds, but sadly only a few establishments ever manage to marry service, quality and good value. Read moreGreat food, service and atmosphere. Food is competitively priced and portions are good. Staff and owners are very friendly and do a great job. Could tell the ingredients were of high quality and the price reflects this and you pay for what you get.
When we were in for brunch it was very busy with lots of tables all sitting down at the same time and it was great to see a cafe this busy. I have been to other restaurants in Herefordshire that will turn customers away if too many tables come in at once without a booking. We didn't book a table and were happy that they could accommodate us and happily waited for our drinks and food. Time flys when you enjoy the company that you are with. I don't understand some people that moan about waiting for food and drink in a restaurant or cafe they must not be having a nice time with who they...
Read moreCaught up with our daughter and her partner over brunch today in this lovely cafe in Ledbury. The staff were very pleasant on our arrival. There is an excellent choice of food and beverages. We all enjoyed our brunch and the ambience there is lovely. My husband was very pleased to notice black pudding on his full English breakfast. Our daughter chose some halloumi on the side of her eggs Royalle which was delicious. The coffee, tea and orange juice was all of a high quality. It’s great that this venue is very dog friendly too. The walled garden is a beautiful space to enjoy food or a drink but it was exceptionally warm today so we dined in the...
