Great fresh tasting food and nice people. Popped in and ordered and was told it would be around 40 minutes so went for a pint in the Shoe. They called to say it was ready after about 25 minutes. Had to go with what basically everyone in Ledbury has (sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken fried rice). The chicken balls were decent and there were plenty for 2 people. Way better than Golden Gate's old greasy offerings and certainly a lot better than Wing On/Ming Hing (but I'd rather eat cat food than go there again). Rice was good and tasted nice and fresh. The rice portions are smaller than in other places and you'd need a rice each if you normally like a belly buster. Chips are chunky. The prawn crackers are Thai crackers which are a bit more fishy than I'm used to. My wife thought they were really good but I wasn't a massive fan. I saw a few negative reviews on Facebook from their first weekend of opening and thought they were harsh. Ledbury hasn't had a decent Chinese takeaway for quite some time now and back when there were 3 or 4 they were always busy on weekends. Unsurprising people had long waits on the first weekend of opening.

Tried the place further 1st time, a take away. Ordered duck spring rolls and house special chowmein. The rolls were small. Only 3 for £5.95. Outside was nice, crisp, not greasy, but little filling.. My advice is they should make them...If it wasn't for the hoisin sauce, there would be no flavour. The chow mein was a mistake. Completely flavourless. I had to add the sauce from the starter for flavour in the main. The king prawns were like rubber, the beef chewy like leather. So disappointing. £14 wasted. The staff were lovely, but really let down by the food. Maybe just become a Chinese or Thai...as Chinese menu is limited, but then again, if its tasteless, it wouldn't matter. I'm not rushing back, can make it better myself.

Our group consisted of two adults and a six-year-old child. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and warm, enhanced by some charming Christmas decorations. The staff provided a warm and inviting atmosphere. As the first customers of the evening, we appreciated the attentiveness of our waitress, who promptly took our order. We requested that our starter be served first, followed by our main meal. We were quite surprised by the timing of our meal; the starter took just over an hour to arrive, and the main course an hour and a half. As the evening progressed, the restaurant started to fill up, with only one table remaining available. It seemed that many tables were experiencing delays with their starters. I had the impression that the takeaway service was causing delays for the restaurant customers. To enhance the overall experience, it's essential for the establishment to find a balance between serving takeaway and dine-in customers effectively. I want to point out that the service could be improved, as one of the waitresses brought us the bill right after we finished our starters and also delivered the incorrect main meal. The food was decent, but it could benefit from a more authentic flavour. There's definitely an opportunity for improvement in both the service and the overall taste. The portion size of the food was acceptable, but I felt it didn't provide good value for the price paid. The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant...

Finished my appointment early and the order was put in late on our end so had a little wait with a drink whilst it was being prepared as it was a bit too early for a full house of diners eating in. All staff were lovely and restaurant is pleasant enough. Takeaway arrived 15 mins earlier than quoted which is good but based on other reviews this might happen a lot and they might be guilty of "under promising over delivering" on wait times. Got home and unpacked our order, everything was correct. Tom Ka soup was lovely as were the main courses. Possibly wouldn't order the won tongs again as personal preference is steamed not fried. Both of us have travelled in Thailand before, it's clearly not as authentic as the real deal but as close as anyone is likely to get for Ledbury and all the key characteristics of Thai cooking is there, including lovely aromatic flavours which is a nice change from other stodgy options. Portion size was entirely in line with the price point as well; for context we had x2 starters x 2 mains and x2 sides of rice (plus a large glass of wine whilst I waited) and it was around the £45 mark. Would gladly order again if in the...
