Louseyyyy dinner!! Not one to normally leave a bad review, but yesterday on remembering Sunday it won’t be just the fallen I will remember. We came here as a family get together to be stood around waiting for someone to acknowledge us for our table, the young girls working on the floor where lovely. Some of the bar staff seemed abit rude and not very approachable at all and spoke quite abruptly considering pubs are suppose to be inviting. Not welcoming at all. I understand it could of been a hard day but still every customer should at least feel comfortable. But to top of the experience was the dinner. On arriving at the table they where hot looked lovely at first glance looked good enough to eat. We had 3 dinners 2 turkey 1 beef and a lasagne. Before tucking in to the dinner we noticed something on one of the turkey dinners when looking closer…there laid on its back covered in gravy was a wood louse!!! A full on wood louse. It was like a bush tucker trial. We told the land lady we are guessing, who was very apologetic and took the dinner away to get a fresh one she said. The dinner returned not much long after. With no gravy on the plate this time but still some of the turkey from the previous plate as the underneath pieces of turkey had Gravy but top slice didn’t and none of the rest of the dinner either. As if it wasn’t hard enough for us without out lousey dinners to eat ours incase there was some added extras but to have the same food from the previous plate I find massively off putting. It made us all find it pretty hard to eat. We did however try to eat it. The stuffing could of done with being cooked longer as the pork meat inside was still pink. It was such a shame as the dinners did look nice. They will of realised when collecting the dinners that we hadn’t ate it all. We where asked how our dinners where again by the landlady and yes they weren’t bad but still the experience was so poor! Not even an offer to try and rectify the problem other then a new plate with fresh veg but the meat from the previous plate. Most definitely will...

Read moreAfter a few months away from here we went back for a Sunday roast only to be left very disappointed, the prices have gone up but the quality has gone down. Food was cold, mash was very lumpy, the veg was hard and the Yorkshire pudding was burned on top. Ate as much as we could due to being starving but gave up, new staff made the atmosphere uncomfortable. We did complain but were only offered a free desert but as the main was abysmal we politely declined the offer, in conclusion we won’t be...
