The food was really, really good and the ambience was lovely. It was a bit noisy at the beginning but really quietened down by the end of the meal. The food was fantastic - especially the starters. We had the duck and calamari, and the best olives I've ever had. The cocktail menu was very small - but perfect. I recommend the Six Sours with Bourbon, which was a real treat. The blonde lady serving was fantastic - she made some very good recommendations for food and was a real pleasure to speak to. The other lady, unfortunately, let the experience down. She asked us if we wanted dessert after we had our starters, dropped a knife in our glass of water and was quite rude at the end when we asked for our bill. There was a very long wait between the starters and main, which I wouldnt mind on a busy night, but it was very quiet so I was surprised by that. Unfortunately, dessert took 25 minutes to arrive and wasnt even correct. I asked for them to take it back and bring the bill and the lady gave me a lot of attitude, saying "well it took 20 minutes to make it". I said she hadnt told us that when we ordered, so she replied "well I didnt know you wanted to leave!" I think she completely missed the point and it really put a downer on an otherwise fantastic night. I will go again, but I will probably avoid that lady.

SIX is my go to venue for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner alike. With its delicious and innovative fusions of modern and classic ingredients, it’s a mind blowing dining experience. My experience began with the brilliant supervisor Pelin greeting us, who is one of the friendliest individuals I’ve had the pleasure of coming across at a food establishment. She was also our waitress for our romantic dinner, and made sure everything was promptly with us, with care and attentiveness. We had the special SIX burger and salad that was ingenious as it combined popcorn with the element of salad? I thought it wouldn’t work but was intrigued nonetheless. However, something I’ve noticed from my visits to SIX is that they combine unexpected foods, resulting in unique blends of flavor that I applaud. The atmosphere, service, music, food, and everything else was a package deal, and simply everything one might ask for. There’s a reason why SIX is quickly becoming one of the bests in the region. Our lovely waitress/supervisor finished our evening by recommending the completely vegan melting moment dessert, which has now become our favorite. What a fantastic idea! We also got some lovely drinks that were a citrus delight! Thank you for an unforgettable evening Pelin and the rest of the SIX team!

I really did not want to write a bad review for this place but never have I just wanted to pay and leave so quickly. I have eaten here once it was lovely, so lovely I booked a table for my mother and friend when they came down to Brighton. But my recent experience was just terrible. On arrival to the beautiful restaurant we were greeted well and given a table we wanted outside. We then ordered our starters, the bread basket and calamari. 3 types of bread came out, one was very hard and the only nice one was the seeded bread, my calamari was absolutely wonderful and the only reason I'm not giving a 1 star review. Not to mention the portion was superb, so much that I kept it on the table which I would soon find out was a life saver. Our mains arrived, my friends green curry with tofu (which we later found out was charged an extra £2 for tofu instead of chicken , no mention of this on the menu) and what was meant to be the baleinese caramel sauce with tofu and rice. When the food arrived it looked and smelt lovely, I started on my vegetables which were so hard I was embarrassed to be attacking my plate with so much force just to eat some broccoli. I mentioned to my friend that my tofu looked so meat like and how impressive it was. In the mean time my friend was eating what I would say was the most bland and tasteless meal I have tried in years! Anyway back to my meal, after a few minutes I go to try this odd tofu and realise it was the pork! After double checking with my friend we confirmed it was not the tofu but pork. I informed my waitress and she apologised and took it away. Thankfully I still had half of my starter to nibble on whilst I waited🤞. It just kept being one thing after another going wrong from there. My friend was painfully trying to eat her food which just had cubed out of the packet tofu thrown in there. Eventually the manager comes out and gives the same apology, asks if I would like to change the meal, I just ask again for what I ordered. Then the waitress comes over to offer something complimentary, perhaps a cocktail etc... I don't drink so I just asked for some orange juice. When the orange juice arrived we asked this waitress for some salt for my friend and she said ok. We never saw this salt and to be honest, had given up on these meals. My meal arrived, lots of fried lovely tofu, the same hard tender stems and some rice all drenched in not the same sauce I originally tasted but now what seemed like just soy sauce. Anyway I slowly attempt to cut my veg, and drain my rice to eat. I think at this point the only problem was how much sauce there was, it was very overpowering. Not to mention I think they over compromised with the amount of tofu and it just went to waste. I didn't finish my meal which is something I never do, as with my friend, but she took hers home to cook more and season. The bill arrives. They took off my meal understandably, but the 'complimentary' orange juice was on there for £5!!?? I knew it was a mistake but it was the icing on the cake to make me write this. Not to mention the extra £2 for tofu, making that meal £16. We didn't have the energy to mention this as we realised after we mentioned the mistake about the drink. After a long wait for the bill to be corrected we paid and left promptly. I don't know what happened this night, and I wouldn't say this review is representative to most peoples experiences, but this was mine last night and it was truly terrible.

Wonderful service, and the comments most often heard about the food were "really tasty" and "some serious flavours going on here".... a mid August 21st at Six, varied age crowd, cheerful and rather hungry...The kitchen was faster than the service. Both were excellent. Our waiter was apologetic in advance for the slow service. She did not have the advantage of 2 of her colleagues who should have been there. We were a around 20 in number. Getting the dishes to the table in a timely manner was problematic, although a good impression of an octopus was going on in front of us. No matter, it was all handled with good humour. Extra drinks at random points- no problem, ditto sauces, and then the bringing and singing associated with the (our party bought it in) vegan birthday cake. Front and centre on Western Road, this still surprised with its range of veggie and meaty mains, seafood and so forth, but the menu remains streamlined. Starters less than a tenner, and mains mostly between £13 and £20. Great value, great fun. Great time. Exceeded expectations with masses of wriggle room to spare. The birthday will be remembered for all the right reasons as far as our visit to Six is concerned.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the manager Paula gave us a warm and welcoming feeling, which set the tone for the entire early afternoon. We started off with some of the most amazing cocktails I have ever had, especially the margarita which was perfectly balanced and incredibly refreshing. As for the food, we were blown away by the variety of dishes and the quality of ingredients. For starters, we had an amazing pumpkin-based dish that was bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. And the organic meat we ordered for our main course was cooked to perfection, with a juicy and tender texture that was hard to resist. Overall, the restaurant exceeded all of our expectations, from the incredible food to the impeccable service. Paula and her team truly know how to create a dining experience that is both memorable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere. Please follow me on Instagram! You can find me at @doctorfoodielondon

I've visited Six on a number of occasions, usually for Breakfast or Brunch. The menu for Brunch consists of good high quality Breakfast and Brunch choices as you'd expect though I usually go for Scrambled Eggs on Toast and Add Beans, Salmon or Sausages. They're open from 9am and it's usually quiet until about 10:30/11 so if you want a quiet place to make some calls or do some emails whilst eating good food then this is ideal (It is not a Cafe so food is expected to be ordered, you can't just sit there and have a coffee, there is a sister cafe next door called Brod and Wolf which is great for that). They have great outdoor seating for warmer days. The Atmosphere picks up and this place is busy from 10:30/11 onwards especially at weekends as it's great for Brunch and they do a Bottomless Prosecco option so you often see Large Bridal parties and Hen Do's enjoying this! Overall a great place to visit and I'd say one of the top Brunch spots in Brighton good for Families, Individuals, Couples and Larger groups.
