This cafe advertised itself as “everything’s homemade” Go here if you want flat and dry Yorkshire pudding with overcooked frozen vegetables, the cauliflower was particularly sodden with water. Boil in the bag “roast” beef with tasteless gravy. It doesn’t get any worse than this. Was totally disappointed as I took my elderly mum there for a treat. When the waitperson asked if everything was ok, as my plate was 85% still full , I responded , no, it’s completely tasteless. She replied “ oh” and that was the end of that . Looking around the cafe everyone else was eating scones only. Maybe they knew something I didn’t. My mums cheese toastie looked ok. Had to ask twice for salt and pepper. Totally depressing experience on a cold day. The pies in the cabinet looked good but did not get offered an alternate meal choice nor was the uneaten the giant Yorkshire pudding taken off the bill. Poor customer service along with poor quality food. Hopefully for the owners this was...

Omelette was a little dry, but well filled with cheese and mushrooms, disappointed though that the latter were tinned however salad and coleslaw sides were delicious. One waitress was extremely helpful (Jill) another (blue hair) was unhelpful having forgotten to provide the requested additional pot of tea and when reminded again after 20 minutes, provided the tea without a cup and saucer. When I asked her for said cup she said oh yes then disappeared for 5 minutes and then sat down to have her lunch. Jill came to the rescue again. Would have thought that one of the main cafes in Hexham would train all their staff to be excellent - the others all seemed very attentive and competent. I'm afraid I won't return in case served by the...

I went for the first time on 11/01/25 to this very busy and bustling with energy cafe, on a very cold -3 on a Saturday lunchtime. Staff had great customer service & were acoomadating as they don't usually do an egg and bacon panini, which, in fact, was one of the best I've had eating out. I also had a very nice Cappuccino 😋. Both came to £6.95 which I think was great price too. I totally recommend this cafe, and I will be back. Wheelchair accessible may be a problem! Hexham can get quite busy and for parking, but I used my blue badge on double yellow lines outside the cafe. The market was on today ,so parking in the main square wasn't possible. But Hexham has quite a few...

Lovely staff! Squeezed me in near to closing time, but didn't rush me or compromise on service. Lots of food had run out for the day (a good sign!) but I was offered soup and a sandwich as a compromise of what I'd been looking at on the menu. Both were very tasty, and I grabbed a box of small pastries to take away - these were delicious. The food was just what I needed after a long drive up to Hexham, and the friendliness of the staff was an ideal welcome to the town :)

Myself and my wife visiting Hexham. We popped in for a snack and there was a load of great options. All the food looked great. We were stuffed when we finished. Had pea and ham soup. One with cheese savoury on foccacia bread and one with a cheese scone. Delicious.staff were great too very friendly and service was quick. Thanks again Very reasonably priced also
