It always feels like an especially good day when I catch Grateful Bread before all the sandwiches have been snapped up! Their hummus and roasted pepper is an absolute legend of a sandwich, enough to share if you were a truly generous soul. Their Malted Brown Sourdough is also pure truckin’ perfection. Bake on, Grateful Bread, bake on! 🎶

Today at 9.15am I managed to secure their last loaf being a Parmesan and Sundried Tomato White Sourdough. WOW ! I don't know what magic they use to make it taste sooooo good. Only my second from Grateful Bread, from here on I will be making a conscious effort to get there earlier on a Friday to secure my Sourdough for the weekend.

We came for the cardamom buns and they were delicious. Whilst they lacked in punch in terms of cardamom itself (if more flavour was added these would be 10/10, no question) they certainly reminded me of my favourite place....Sweden. They look impressive and the weight of them makes for a filling snack. Would certainly get another one next time...

Despite living in Hexham, we often don't get into town early enough to enjoy The Grateful Bread's produce. Now I've finally tried their cardamom buns, I want to get my hands on them every week!
