The best food in YeovilThis is the 1st time I enter here and ordered "Chicken Suvlaki", and they asked me "Do you want the whole plate"- "Of course" I said, even not knowing what this means :))) So, my meat (3 pieces) came with a salad, chips, bread, plus Tartar sauce-all together 11 pounds.I ordered also the pork variant of Suvlaki. I do not understand WHY british people are ready do pay 10 pounds for one coffee and humburger somewhere, and do not notice the real the REAL delicious food in Yeovil!!! Read moreReally enjoyed our first visit just after it opened. Went back again and found it full of customers sat at tables waiting for orders and delivery drivers waiting to collect. Went to order to be told we would have a minimum 30 minute wait for souvlaki, so would we have gyros instead as that would be quicker. Unfortunately we wanted souvlaki and we didn’t want to wait in a busy store for so long, so left. As per other take-always in Yeovil, priority seems to be going to the online orders which is impacting on walk-in customers. Read moreThis is the first time we've eaten in at Souvlaki GR.... And we loved it! The souvlaki and pastitsio were off the scale of terms of gorgeousness. With friendly staff and a simple menu, it reminded me of the genuine Greek eateries (ie, where actual locals eat, not the touristy places) in Greece. Admittedly it's considerably more pricey, but this was an evening out. It felt so genuine that I almost put my paper in the bin 🤣.
