Visited to try the new menu (23/02/24) and had a fantastic time! We were sat at a small table for two in the main dining room which had only 5 tables (there are two tables in the front of house area), so quite a cozy atmosphere.
The waiter was very polite and welcoming, lit the candle on our table and took our drink order which we picked from the wine list and soft drinks menu. We were surprised that the drinks were so reasonably priced, at 1.7 for a coke/soft drink and 5.5 for a glass of prosecco.
For food we went for two small plates and a mixed board, and throughly enjoyed all the food, I would highly recommend this combination whereby you can choose two cheeses off the cheess menu for the board. We went for a smoked cheddar and a goats cheese and both were fantastic.
Dessert menu was small but nice to have something on offer - brownie bites, millionaire shortbread, or ice cream.
For payment we went to the front when we were ready and paid by card, again the staff were so polite and friendly! Definitely will be returning, my partner and I want to try more from the cheese and small plates...

We absolutely loved the evening! It was a street food around the world theme, and it was amazing! My partner very much enjoyed the drinks pairing with each of the 6 courses as well.
The food was so delicious, and it's great to know the produce is locally sourced. The atmosphere in there is really lovely, and it felt like a very intimate setting. The chef was very accommodating for me, being gluten free, which I really appreciate! We loved it so much, we've booked for another supper club in a couple of months 😁
I would highly recommend The Acorn as a really lovely independent business, that thoroughly deserves...
Read moreWent into The Acorn on their first Saturday opening this week, grabbed a bacon roll, rocky road and coffee. The coffee is the best in yeovil, would highly recommend if you love a good coffee. The bacon roll was just what I needed on a Saturday morning and the rocky road was an absolute delight. It’s got that perfect idillic coffee shop atmosphere, looking over the church green, with freshly made food, from tarts, to sausage rolls and sandwiches! They also have an incredible selection of locally sourced cheeses, deli meats, chutneys and more in their deli shop. I cannot wait for the cafe section to open with their full menu soon! This deli/cafe is exactly what...
