Just been today. There was nobody to seat us so we just sat down and waited. Then young waitress that stands on the podium. Appeared and told us it wasn't very good to sit at a table for four as we was only two. Said it made it very difficult for her. We looked we hadn't taken any of the reserved tables. There was no twos and it wasn't busy. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Then a man women child and a man came in. She was no where to be seen. The lady asked the women behind the bar was it OK to sit there . She said yes. Then the lady that served us Appeared went to table and asked them to move because of the wheelchair they had with There son in. She made them move but couldn't find a spot for them. Two other customers said they could have there table. So they moved only to be told by said server they could not sit there. She moved them again. And guess what back to original table. Then a couple walked in sat in a table for 5. And new server said nothing. Our server came back to tack our order and again told us off about taking a larger table. She told me I should have waited to be seated . I said there was no one there. She replied well I'm the only one on. I replied you are quite stressed about all of this. She was not happy with the comment and argued back. So I'm sorry but she made me my husband. The family with a wheelchair feel so uncomfortable. That I would never return again. And will tell all my friends unless management do something. I wait for your response??

Well, the food is actually very nice. There is a “Seniors” menu at £7.99 for two courses and £8.99 for three courses which is very good value. The options are somewhat limited but very acceptable. The main courses from the Seniors menu are rather small but very nice and freshly cooked and perfectly adequate for most appetites. The main problem is service - and not the fault of the staff who seem to be working flat out. After our starters, It took 50 minutes for our main courses to arrive and then another 45 minutes for our two desserts to be served. The restaurant and bar areas were absolutely packed with not a spare table in sight anywhere and people waiting. And … this was on a Wednesday lunchtime. We would definitely go back, but to wait almost 2 hours to complete a pub lunch is a bit daunting. The food shown is the crumble and custard from the Seniors menu which was lovely.

I rarely write reviews but because this spoilt my father's Day felt obliged to do so. Before I start, I did not book a table and knew it would be busy. Ordered food and was told it would be 45mins max, which I confirmed would be the maximum time I would wait, no problem. After 35mins was informed my wife's choice was not available, after 55mins I chased the order, after an hour it arrived, curry burnt to the base with mine and my son's fries were cold and miniscule portion size. This was my local, not my first disappointing meal there but after the investment on the patio area was giving it the benefit of the doubt. If you want a drink then go here don't order food when it's busy. Spoke to the manager who did not really look interested....shame.

Had an amazing time with my husband over 2 days of Easter in this superb Inn. On our arrival, and we have arrived a bit early, everything was already prepared for us so we could check in and leave the car at the free car park. Lovely room, tidy, quiet even despite being so close to the lively pub, all the amenities included. When we came down for lunch we were greeted by the most welcoming, funny and chatty manageress and her team who have all made us feel like a long lost family that just came home. The food was delicious and fresh and we couldn't say no to buy one get one free dessert! 2 minutes walking distance later we found ourselves on the lovely beach, surprisingly not overcrowded. In the evening we could again enjoy a fab food, live music and an outstanding service from the team who worked really hard over busy Easter evening with a fantastic, cheerful, "nothing is too much of a trouble" attitude. Bed was very comfy so we slept really well that night. In the morning we have enjoyed a great, well cooked and cheap breakfast and we checked out. Even after check out the lovely staff has allowed us to leave our car at their car park for free so we could enjoy the beach for a few more hours before going back home. We definitely found our happy place we're looking forward to go back to soon. Strongly recommended. Many thanks to a lovely team who made us...

We went for a big family meal there last night, with 13 of us. I picked the pub to have the meal in as it's minutes from my in-laws and the visitors from up north and the US were staying onsite. The pub itself is lovely, (despite the leaky roof), very festive. Staff - we were served by a very friendly and efficient young lady who was very attentive. And there was also a young chap with an Irish accent who was hilarious and again, very, very good at his job. Food - unfortunately, this is where it could have been better. A lot of what we had was on the dry side and only warm, not hot. And not great taste wise, probably only a 2 or 3 out of 5. Drinks - there's a card on the table advertising 3 festive shots for £5.99 (or something like that). I think we ordered 4 lots of those. Imagine our disappointment when the same sweet waitress came back and said they didn't have any Chambord, so that's 2 of the 3 shots not doable. I should have brought my own bottle in! This is inexcusable really, 6 days to Christmas, you should have enough stock in if you're advertising something on every single table in your pub/restaurant. On a positive note, the relos loved the Eton Mess and I thought the chocolate fondant was absolutely delicious. Despite the rather disappointing mains, we had an enjoyable time, and part of that had to do with the very...
