Oh dear!! The coffee was lovely BUT...Is it too much to ask for a smile? The place was fairly empty which was a shame as the indoor sesting area is quite good, but all the staff appeared to be more interested in the drive through customers than communicating with the customers in side??The peach and oats was lovely but eating it with a wooden spoon left a lot to be desired? The other cakes where obviously past their sell by date.....what a shame. Outside eating area was a disgrace

I’ve had better coffee from a instant coffee machine. Ā£3.20 for a Terrible coffee branded as Starbucks but they offer drive-thru in current Covid climate so get an extra star. Would recommend local costa or McDonald’s for coffee in future.

I don't mind a Starbucks and love the new interiors. Whilst two of the staff on the day I visited where excellent. They was a right stroppy mare on the drive through that doesn't like have her mistakes corrected by the customer.

I mirror all the same points as recently made below. This is without a doubt the worst store I have ever visited in the NE region. To say it's in a prime location with the luxury of a drive thru too, it's disappointing on every visit without fail. They'll be random days and times they decide to close the inside area and run drive thru only without any good reason. When you can get inside it's filthy. Every table is dirty with used cups and plates literally stacked on every table. The serving counter is visibly dirty, areas behind the counter are unhygienic covered in spillages and rubbish. You stand at the counter waiting to be served and you just get ignored, either for drive thru orders or because the girls are just too busy chit chatting amongst themselves. There’s never any stock, food fridges bare and full of bits of food. If it’s remotely warm, no Frappuccinos... Any promotional drinks, all you get is ā€œran outā€ with no apologies what so ever... Then when you chose from the bog standard drinks that are available, you stand at the end of the counter like a lemon for up to 10 minutes, watching them do drive thru order after order or just chatting between themselves, doing nothing to prepare your drinks knowing that you’re standing there watching them, they just don’t care. Then when you receive your drink, which is supposed to be somewhat of a luxury beverage that you’ve paid Ā£4/5 for, it’s like dishwater. They have no grasp of how much syrup to put in, how long milk should be heated for etc, it’s like a child’s made it. You can get a nicer, more consistent coffee from a machine at McDonalds or Greggs, genuinely. This store has so much potential, but at the moment, ever since the main pandemic, it’s been in the gutter. If you’re considering a Starbucks, my advice would be to go to Thinford or Darlington, if that’s too far, gan to...

I have been going to this Starbucks since it opened maybe 10 years ago. At one point i used to go in twice a day spending thousands of pounds a year. However lately the place has gone dramatically downhill. I understand like most places they are likely to be short staffed but for the second time in a row there has been no sanitiser in the bottle for customers. The counter where you collect your drink is filthy. It looks like the ground on dirt hasnt been cleaned for a very long time. Waited 5 minutes today to be served then when i was had to wait a further 10.minutes for my items as the 2 girls serving ignored my order to serve the drive thru. When i finally got my drink she had made me a hot latte rather than the iced one i ordered. So had to wait longer. Its obvious to me the staff are all new and have no idea what they are doing. Last time i went in the girl making the drinks gave my iced latte to the drive thru rather than me standing waiting for it. Then when i asked for it she nearly did the same again. I LOVE the Starbucks brand but that shop is drastically letting the brand down. Very...

I leave a lot of Google reviews and I very rarely leave negative ones but this is definitely the worst Starbucks I've ever been too. The first time we went, we thought it may be a bad day and a one off. The second time a few months later it was exactly the same. We waited at least 20 minutes maybe 25 which is a long time when you are just stood at the end of the counter and the same thing had happened as the last time, they had made the drinks then put them by the drive through. It was only noticed when someone came to complain that half of their food order was wrong which highlighted that they had been given ours. So we had to wait while they re-done our order, and when we eventually got it, we thought we should point out that the two young girls standing at the end had been there since before we entered. At that point they realised they had missed/messed up or maybe even given their order to someone else. Its safe to say we will be driving to Starbucks at Spennymoor from now on. Very...
