Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Pure ignorance. Me and Dad took our dog in for a puppaccino. We usually go to starbucks but i had a free drink to use and a £1 drink on my vodafone app. So I was queueing while my Dad found a table and our clingy cockapoo jumped on his knee as thats where she finds comfort. A woman who works there walked over to my Dad and said something to him and my lDad motioned to me he was taking the dog outside. When the woman came towards me I asked her if dogs weren't allowed in anymore and she said it wasnt that, it was they aren't allowed at 'table height' and have to stay on the floor. Right, so do you make the dirty ,screaming, snotty faced kids that come in sit on the floor too? As kids carry a lot more germs and diseases than dogs. Disgusting woman upsetting a 76 year old man who lives for that little well behaved cockapoo. She should be ashamed of herself. We will stick to Starbucks...

Costa Coffee West Auckland 05/06/2025. The tuna melt (£5.15) tasted awful and there was no garnish , the tuna melt from subway is much nicer and has salad. The tiny slice of chocolate brownie cheesecake (£3.95) was stale and dry a bit of cream might have improved it. The very small raspberry and almond bake (£2.85) was similarly dry. 2 Medium latte (£3.90) disappointingly didn’t have much of a coffee flavour. The saving grace was the Wiltshire ham & cheese toasty (£4.99) which was tasty. Overall the cost was £24.74 which we thought a bit expensive especially with the lack of any garnishes. We’ve had much better elsewhere and paid less, this was our first experience of Costa and based on the food today we won’t be eating...

Mix really. Drink and service ok but organizing of people sitting or taking away needs looking at. We went in one went to sit down while the other order so we could have food as well. To be told we couldnt do that So we were going to sit at a four seat area as there was three of us So we all stood in line to see a man on his own to take the table and thwnsadly no table for us But there were 2 tables of one or two people. THEN.... To then hear the lady who's a staff emmber, who got us to move to say yes to a lady at the door to going in and take a seat and send one up to order I guess know one can make there mind up so only 2 of us got takeaways as I wanted food.
