I visited this Starbucks on Saturday afternoon 2nd September and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the service was lacking efficiency and attention to detail.
Upon entering the store, my wife and I stood at the counter for a good five minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. Finally, a staff member approached us and asked for our order. We requested two caramel Frappuccinos, a choice we had made based on our positive experiences with this drink at other Starbucks locations.
After placing our order, we were asked to find a seat and were informed they would shout us once it was ready. However, this process took nearly ten minutes, which seemed excessive considering the limited number of customers present in the store. It was disheartening to observe that the drive-through customers were receiving priority over those inside the store.
When our drinks finally arrived, we were eager to indulge in our anticipated caramel Frappuccinos. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment as the taste was far from what we had expected. The drinks had an unpleasant and artificial flavor that was quite off-putting. It was evident that the quality of the Frappuccinos did not meet the standards we had come to associate with Starbucks.
Overall, my experience at the Starbucks on Hessle Road was underwhelming. The lack of prompt service, coupled with the disappointing taste of our drinks, left a sour taste in our mouths. While I have had positive experiences at other Starbucks locations, I cannot recommend this particular branch based...
Read moreFirst visit and I was left standing, no queue, whilst staff prepared drinks and chatted amongst themselves. Eventually I was asked if I had ordered, I said no and was told it's because I was stood near them and not the till one stride away. So my start here wasn't great but it was better from then on. It's a spacious area, not really homely like other similar coffee shops, this felt more clinical. No atmosphere because there were only two other people in there. It was clean and tidy and it was nice to sit in the far corner looking outside (it's only a roundabout but it was ok). Our drinks ended up being far too large even though I asked for a medium I was given the fancy terms, next time if I go back I'll ask to see the mugs first.....at the till 😏.
No food options for Coeliacs at all that I could see and food prices, in my own opinion, are quite expensive.
It was nice to finally make a visit here but on first impressions I'm not sure I will be rushing back but if I'm passing I may pop in hence...
Read moreIf I could Give this place 0 stars for my experience today I would. After entering and only a hand full of people inside (if that) and 1 gentleman before me waiting we were stood for 10 minutes waiting to be served. My partner walked out but I stayed to be served, after realising the gentleman before me still hadn't got his drinks too but I’d seen but multiple cars had been served via the drive-thru I lost my patience after another 5 minutes. If we’d been acknowledged verbally or with a smile things may have been different but left at a till for the best part of 15 minutes twiddling my thumbs is unacceptable- especially when a 4th member of staff came out the back and started doing his checklist. Worst Starbucks experience I’ve had. Won’t be returning / plenty of other Starbucks - give them a...
