First time leaving a negative review for anything. Absolutely awful experience here yesterday in every way possible. It’s very unclear where you need to place your order, after standing in front of the counter for over 15 minutes along with other customers (whilst waiting for a delivery driver coming in and out collecting) I was told I was stood in the wrong place along with everyone else stood behind me - they had seen us standing there for a while, no idea why nothing was mentioned earlier, possibly just too busy with their delivery service. When I ended up getting served there was no apology for the wait and the lady who served me seemed as irritated as myself. The member of staff who went to take my payment had very poor English and could not understand when I queried why I was being over charged for my food, after several attempts of me trying to explain this, it was eventually rectified by a different staff member who had jumped in to help. I waited a further 10 minutes for my food which was a very basic order. I went to fill my drink from the drinks dispenser machine and to my horror found three FLIES floating in the top of my cup after filling it. I was given a new cup and this was bizarrely seen as dealt with and acceptable. Absolutely disgusting and again, no apology at all. Having already spent close to 35 minutes from having entered, I didn’t have the time or energy to take this any further but honestly would not set foot back in here EVER. Clearer signage needed as to where you need to place your order, having looked at previous reviews that mention the screens to order food, not one of the machines were on or working, unsure if this was intentional or not but a simple ‘order here’ sign under the right side of the counter would suffice to avoid confusion and delays. To top it all off, when unpackaging my order it literally looked like it could have been made better by a 12 year old, chucked together, cold (ordered it toasted), dry and falling apart. She shouts at customers to ask what they want when they are clearly trying to decide, I once ordered a "BMT" and she went off on one at me saying "IT'S DELI MEATS... DELI MEATS IS WHAT YOU MEAN... IT'S BEEN DELI MEATS FOR 6 MONTHS BUT WE'LL TRAIN EVERYONE EVENTUALLY." Listen... I am a customer, I do not need "training". It has been called "BMT" for over a decade so let it slide yeah? Also, it literally says on the menu "Previously BMT"... This particular older woman also is very stingy on the veggies she puts in salad boxes. Clearly hates her job. Read moreUsed to be brilliant and I would take my 3 kids there regularly. Unfortunately it's been changed to screens which means i can't see how fresh things look before asking for it (especially the salad). The whole point of going somewhere to have a sub stuffed for you and not prepackaged is to have a look, ask for a bit more or less of one type of salad as they're doing it. Ask for half one sauce and half another etc. One of my children is Autistic and asks for just cheese in a box! I have to explain this unusual request and they were always understanding and lovely. The whole point of subway was personalisation for us and now there's absolutely no point. We could go anywhere and buy a ready made packaged sandwich/baguette/salad.
