Wouldn’t come here for food. I ordered nachos and a Tennessee Burger. I asked if the nachos were done ten days ago as they tasted so old and re-heated. However they did make some fresher (still not so great) nachos. Half way through eating the food they then bring out the Tennessee burger I had ordered. I wasn’t ready for the food at all and when asked if that is then going to be re-made the waitress replied ‘no, we will just just the bun’. I was gobsmacked. When the burger came out the bread was burnt, the burger Itself was dry and even the salad was burnt. I know it’s Wetherspoons and the food normally isn’t great there. But when people pay money for food out it has to be better than what you can make at home and this certainly wasn’t. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. All I can say that this place be avoided like the plague!

Bit disappointed, was ordering three pints, one non-alcoholic for my friend that’s pregnant, I got it okayed at the bar, I told the bartender she was pregnant and it was still okay. We go back to the table and bartender comes over five minutes later and takes the alcohol pint away due to no ID. Was not hard to see, my friend is pregnant, her belly is quite big😂. Got refunded with a 1.75 Pepsi. If you cannot serve alcohol free cider without ID then don’t say it’s fine at the bar but then proceed to take it away. However, southern fried chicken strips… beautiful as always. I don’t know what’s going on with the chips

It's not a bad place to go. There isn't any music (Standard with Weatherspoons) so the atmosphere can get a little boring, the drinks are well priced and the place is generally clean. It's a typical Spoons, but I just can't get over the price of the food to what you get. £9 for a burger and chips, which look like they were put together in ten seconds flat. What you see is what you get, no real dramas, I go here for a few every now and again, just don't buy any food 🤣

I have to say how insulted and disappointed my family were treated by staff at this establishment. Following my mother's funeral today a few family members and close friends (7 of us) decided to have a couple of drinks and a meal here. We arrived as 7, but just 4 were eating so we each had no more than a couple of pints and then we toasted to my late mother with a whiskey before eating but just as we were looking to order the food, one family member went to the bar to buy me 1/2 a lager (I had just one pint before!) but was told that they would no longer be serving our group! Nobody was loud or drunk and we were no trouble in a fairly quiet pub. It must have been obvious we had come from a funeral as we were all wearing black. I can't defend the response from one family member to this decision although he did try to first reason with the member of staff. When I tried to calmly explain all we wanted to do was order a meal, we were effectively told to leave. I have never felt so insulted in my life and on such a sensitive day too. My 85 year old father could not comprehend the decision. In hindsight we really feel it was prejudice towards one family member who has a broad Liverpool accent. As an Amesbury resident I will never drink here again and will encourage all I know to...

I wouldn't give it 1 if I could. It's not busy today but we waited nearly an hour for our food. When it finally arrived 3 sausages were missing which the waitress did know about and said they are on their way. The food however was STONE cold. My daugther hardly touched hers but as we had driven out to amesbury to eat we ate. Apart from the pork part of our dinner it was not cooked. Any chef with a grain of knowledge knows pork has to be fully cooked you do not serve it rare. We working in catering I've been in hospitality all my life and I would never dream of serving what I recieved today. I do run a restaurant currently so I understand the strain on staff right now, cold food, raw pork I won't be returning the free drink because of wait didnt cut the poor food. £35...
