Popped in for something to eat after having a day out, Sunday is roast day and the size is huge, well cooked veg and meats, great pub with a good atmosphere worth a visit. We will be back to try the burgers at some point. 25th March popped in for a burger black and blue, be hungry, is all I say good size thin fries and well flavoured for me it didn't need the bacon, washed down with a pint of Honey ale very nice.

Fancied a nice pie and cider for evening meal and this pub was perfect as they had a dedicated pies menu, I went for Moo Pie and it was very much like a Pieminister pie. 10/10 for the pie. They had a good selection of flat ciders to choose from. A pint of cider was £5.60 which is quite pricey, the other two pubs I visited did the same cider for £4 but hey ho. I would recommend The Coach & Horses for the pies

What a fantastic, 'proper' pub. Not unique, but the sort of pub that has evolved over many decades. The walls bedecked with memorabilia, photos and countless 'Pub of the Year' certificates. Great beers, a vast array of good food, and really welcoming staff. Unfortunately I live 100 miles away🙉 otherwise I'd be in there every night. Don't miss it if you're in Wellingborough.

I really like(d) the coach. It would get a 5 star but.. They have a poster saying children are welcome on Sundays... So being a family man I take the kids on a Sunday, but every single Sunday the bar staff make a big point of saying,... (script below)

Staff member: we normally don't allow children in, but (sigh) as it's Sunday we will do

Me: there's a poster clearly stating children are welcome Sundays?

Staff member: yes they are not allowed normally

Me: the poster advertises they are allowed on a Sunday

Staff member: but not normally

Me: exactly what the poster says. Why are you telling me this, do you not want the children here?

Staff member: no its ok as it is a Sunday

Me: no, it is OK. I will just go to The George in Wilby, just down the road, a far superior pub, with friendly bar staff that don't get into these weird circular non arguments about children being allowed in a pub on the one day they are allowed into the pub as you advertise in your window.

Me: addios I will go now to enjoy my...

Won't ever be going back to this pub again! The rude lady behind the bar didn't even give us a chance to order drinks! After asking what fruit ciders did they have she jumped down my throat asking for ID from my 14 year old daughter! After telling her she wasn't having that and my partner saying she'l have coke she just shrugged her shoulders and said so! ID? Never have I ever felt so embarrassed and humiliated especially when the website says child friendly! So if you want to take your children to this place that we once liked then don't go here! Apparently you can't have an alcoholic drink with your children present! We only went there for food and even that was a disappointment as there was no food service that day so we thought we'd stay for a drink not be rude and just turn and walk out! Made a complaint to the owner John and he read it and still yet to reply or acknowledge it! Your only a pub in well rough! Dont...

Absolutely no respect for the local community. They feel the need to play incredibly loud music that can be heard on a half a mile radius every single bank holiday. Lord forbit someone wants to relax in their own home and have a quiet weekend or...read a book in the evening! Why can't you find a medium volume that allows your customers to have a great time and still give your neighbours some respect like the rest of the local pubs? The horseshoe is closer to my house than you, but I never once heard anything come from them because they know the definition of 'volume'...
