The Coffee Cart | Old Market Hereford — Restaurant in England

It was so messy, all the tables were not cleared up for the hour we were there. The food trays inside were all minging, the waiting area and coffee area was a bit gross, sticky and over crowded, there wasn't even a lid on the chocolate sprinkle and just rubbish and old spoons etc not cleaned up. Cigarette butts all over the floor around the tables in the outside dining areas, the table service was non existent, despite being given a table number and told the food would be brought out. Food wise, the pre-made baguettes tasted nice, quite light on the filling for the price. The coffee on the other hand was really nice, even though i was given something else to what I thought I had ordered. This was after i was handed my food, rather than before and then having food brought to the table, so I didn't want to wait for something else, as food was getting cold. I have been here a couple of times before when it wasn't too busy, seemed a bit better then, but honestly today was not nice, wouldn't probably go back after this experience. Unfortunately not that great… Me and my partner went yesterday to get an ice cream each. I asked for 2 mint choc ice creams, in waffle cones. The lady behind the counter looked almost irritated? Said they were waiting on waffle cones, so did I want anything else. I said we could have 2 chocolate cones instead. She proceeded to give me one cone with 2 scoops of mint, which was not what I ordered. With a line behind me I didn’t argue. That one ice cream cost me £6.70 which is insane. The drinks are never consistent (the ‘hot drinks’ are lukewarm). As for the cold drinks, on one occasion the frappe ordered was served as coffee & poured milk with floating ice cubes (bitter tasting) and on another occasion it was blended to a slushy consistency with syrup. I’ve also had incomplete drinks where they’ve forgotten to add cream (as requested at the till & displayed on the menu). The staff are more interested in each other than customers.
