The Corner House Cafe/Diner — Restaurant in England

Came here twice but waited before leaving a review as I wanted to try it again. Spolier: great experience either the times.

I decided to have lunch here on a Saturday, and despite the diner was busy I got served quickly.

I had bacon and cheese burger in a bun with onion rings, a drink and espresso and spent £10.

Quality/price match is great, considering how tasty my burger was! I expected a bit more onion rings but despite this I left with my belly full! I loved it.

Location is quiet despite being close to town centre, ideal if you're looking for a tranquil lunch break in the weekend.

Scrambled eggs "cooked" in the microwave,clumped together and tasted like rubber.

In response to the passive aggressive cafe owners reply,a high rating of a food establishment can easily be obtained by encouraging regular diners to leave a review and further more,its common practice. The average person who has a bad meal doesn't go online to make a review so unfortunately as is the case with your cafe,a bad establishment isn't discovered until the unfortunate diner attends themselves. And for anyone reading,did you notice how the fact they use a "microwave" to cook your scrambled eggs was NOT denied within their response! Because microwave eggs are ALWAYS super fluffy and WAY better than pan fresh pan...

I've heard that the food and service was amazing but it was pretty standard for the price. My child and I went for the first time and we won't be returning. An old man hit him in the face because he took his teapot off the table. (He is 4 years old and has special needs) The staff did nothing to resolve the issue and I was so angry and embarrassed after I shouted over to him that there was no need to hit him I rushed the rest of our food and left. This has been reported and that old man is lucky I didn't hit him back. Disgusted really. I'd give it -1 stars if it was an option. Also a full English without a coffee ?
