We were a group with 1 child with special needs. We had not only pre booked our table but had also requested a table at the back of the restaurant if possible. This was acknowledged by waiter A via a phonecall to me once they saw the booking.
Upon arrival, waited for a few mins and then waiter A (yes knew him straighaway by his voice) clearly does not know how to say hello or greet the customers, straightway yelled how many are u. I said we r 7 and we have booked.
He then took us to this table in the front fit for 4 to 5 ppl and told us squeeze up and brought this awful looking chair and shoves it at the open side of the table and said u can fit. I am just staring at him in disbelief.
I said to him, we specifically booked a table for 7 and at the back ( the restaurant was empty). He started arguing saying the restaurant is fully booked and I said yes I have prebooked too with my requirement which u rang and confirmed. He carried on yapping non sence.
By then a couple walked in, taken to a table at the back big enough and spacious enough for 8. Now either they heard our conversation with this awful waiter A or waiter B just was very nice.
Waiter B butted in and completely ignored waiter A and said to us, I have this table here, come and take a sit here.
We were soon made to feel comfortable by waiter B and this lady who appears to be the manager.
The service from there on was nice. Waiter A turns up again at the end and says to us if we have finished, which h we had and started taking the plates. All of 2.plates only he took as clearly he had more important customers to look after than us.
Food was nice apart from 1 dish.
Sad that I have to give a bad review because of water A who not only needs training on customer service but also on Inclusion and Diversity....
Read moreWrote a critical review on their website, but it hasn't appeared. In the past i thought their food was ok. Tried them months ago, really enjoyed the naan's and paneer in particular. ordered today on that basis, Its one of the worst curry's I've ever had, making me feel sick. The texture, taste, seasoning all really poor. Paneer taste like rubber and tasteless, peshwari naan texture like cardboard, awful filling, rice and mint sauce horrible texture and taste. Annoyed i gave them £20 for my meal, really poor quality food, will never order from them again. I just phoned and explained the food was poor. The manager first asked me where am i from, because Indian food is cooked differently in different area's of uk. He said because i asked for them to make me up a different combo it will taste different, asked if I'm familiar with Indian food, this is how it tastes. I told him, he's condescending, and saying things i simply know are not true, I asked him would he like to continue arguing with me or take the opportunity to rectify this, i hoped for an apology first then to rectify. He asked if i liked the poppadoms , i said they were not up to standard, he continued to be condescending explaining the process of making the poppadom, He then passed me on to his cook who asked me, so what's the issue with the poppadom sir, no apology after i twice told him im a woman, this guy sounded confused and rude. The cook then said i could have my money back and they want their food back. They didn't show care and pride about their service...
Read moreI have been a regular at this restaurant since moving to Cornwall a year ago, I have enjoyed 2 sit down meals, a delivery and 2 takeaway meals, the food is fine, what you would expect, however I came to pick up my pre ordered takeaway the other night and the bill was just shy of ÂŁ25 which was fine so I went to pay by debit card, I was told there was a ÂŁ30 minimum charge to use a debit card ? I said that was ridiculous as I was spending pretty much ÂŁ25 and that I had no cash on me, to be fair there was a sign stating this which I hadnât seen and in my previous visits I had spent over ÂŁ30, the manager was quite assertive and I didnât like his attitude so I told him to keep his food and I would go elsewhere, the conversation continues and I enquired to how much it would cost him for me to use my debit card, he said 3% when I enquired how much that would be he stated ÂŁ1.70 which doesnât add up, I said I would pay the ÂŁ1.70 but he continued trying to state his case, when I said I would leave and he could keep the food for the second time he agreed to allow me to pay by card, I have since spoken to quite a few proprietors and business owners re this and they tell me that there is a very small charge but they couldnât understand why there should be a problem as I was spending nearly ÂŁ25, and that it wouldnât be as much as ÂŁ1.70 so I will not be returning as I donât feel welcome there anymore and I think it is simply a ploy to make one spend more money, there is another Indian restaurant/takeaway in...
