The Curry Leaf — Restaurant in England

I must of eaten in over Fifty plus Indian & Bangladeshi Restaurants across the UK over a forty year period and I have to say the food I was served in the Curry Leaf restaurant Devizes has to be the worst ever. I regularly opt for a Chicken Biryani and this dish here was dreadful and was the most disgusting Indian food I’ve ever tasted. Firstly it was served in a dish no bigger than a coffee cup. There was barely three tablespoons of rice. The rice was extremely oily (dripping in it ) and the pieces of chicken or should I say lack of had a strange taste. The accompanying vegetable curry side dish was just as bad. It’s basically consisted of nothing but a thick gravy like sauce with sugar pea pods being the only vegetable. Bland and tasteless. I didn’t kick up a fuss as I was being taken out to dinner for a special occasion. But I can assure you I myself wouldn’t have paid for it. I live in Devizes and Never-less to say I won’t be returning as not only did I leave hungry the food...

Had the food delivered by just eat. The cheesecake was frozen still, and absolutely tiny for £5. The delivery driver didn’t even give us a chance to buzz him in. He held the buzz in and done this three times, we have a baby which I explained to him and rather than apologising told us to put it on the notes (we’ve ordered from other takeaways and NEVER had this issue. One buzz and give us a chance to open the door. I thought it was common sense) sadly no apology and just tried to blame us. The food was good but sadly the delivery driver really ruined...

I don’t normally write reviews but living close to Bradford and a curry lover I have to say this is exceptional! Probably the best curry I’ve had in the whole of the U.K. and I work nationwide so tried an awful lot! Forget the “from a jar” places. This is the genuine real deal! Delicately spiced with a warm detailed flavoursome taste. If you weren’t 4hrs away you would be on my takeout night favourites list with 2nd place being very distant. Outstanding gentleman, you really have achieved a goal here and I hope you are around for...
