We have dined here multiple times over the years and never had a bad experience until last night. We were sat at our tables with menus which were very disappointing as usually there is a wide choice but this was very poor. After 20 minutes, the staff asked if we'd like any drinks, we had to ask for the cocktail/wine list. We placed our order and 20 minutes later 1 drink arrived, along with our nibbles and our starters. We asked several times for the other drinks, 2 of us ordered the same cocktail and they were different. The bread with my terrine was nothing short of disgusting, glad we ordered the 'artisan' breads as this made it more palatable. Our mains arrived, we asked for a different sauce with our steak which never arrived, we ordered more drinks which took way too long to appear and when they did they gave us very hot water glasses. We decided not to have dessert and instead asked for the bill, which arrived in record time, unlike the drinks! We disputed the bill, the £45 "delivery fee", the terrine and sauce were also removed. We then went onto the terrace for drinks and again, the service was shocking, waiting 45 minutes in total to get drinks.

We will not be returning ever. This is such a shame as we've had nothing but brilliant service and food here. Every table in our section of the restaurant complained, so it wasn't just a one-off or us being difficult. When you're paying £17 for a cocktail, you expect something special and it wasn't. We joked that we should have gone to 'Spoons' and I think we'd of had a more positive experience there than here. Crazy Bear, you've lost it, you were great and now you're very expensive and extremely...

I booked Crazy Bear for my partner’s birthday and was left extremely disappointed. From the moment we arrived, the experience was poor. We weren’t shown around or given any information about hotel facilities, the room was dark, dusty, and cramped with a blocked sink and even spiders on the windows. Staff were unhelpful and often unreachable – calls to reception and “24-hour” room service went unanswered. The pool was freezing, signage was unclear, and there was ongoing construction work with no notice.

Most upsetting was the fact that our dietary requirements (no pork) were ignored – my partner was served bacon and even after sending it back, cross-contamination was still present, making him unwell. Despite requesting a birthday note for the room, nothing was provided, which completely ruined the celebration.

For the high price, this stay was not worth it. Poor service, lack of hospitality, and a disappointing overall vibe. I would not recommend Crazy Bear for a special occasion or...

Had a very enjoyable afternoon and evening, started with Thai massages and sitting round the pool before eating. The staff very friendly and helpful, food was very good, the only negative was for my wife who mainly eats fish, only only fish dish was fish and chips and does not eat fried food, would be good to have another fish dish. I had the fish and chips, as not eaten for ages and they were very good and the chips still had the skins on which I like and rarely get. The wine list is good have options for all pockets. Was a Wednesday not as busy as other times we have been. We look forward...
