My first and LAST visit. I ordered gluten free items and took them away to consume. I enquired about gluten free desert and was informed there was only one. I told them I would return later to purchase this, given the warm weather. Indeed I returned about 40mins later and took a friend with me. I guided my friend to the items I had purchased for lunch, we decided to dine in and I intended to order a coffee and the gluten free chocolate desert. The place has only one low table, this was occupied by three different groups š³ with only two seats available to accommodate myself and my friend. Quite awkward in the time of covid to have such close proximity to other diners all sat at the same table, this was in my opinion poor organisational skills and too much of a focus to maximise profit first and the safety of the public second. We waited a concerning time for the order to arrive and when it did a salad was given to my friend which they did not order and therefore did not consume. I attempted to order a latte and was firmly and rudely told that they do not serve latte. This was sharply followed by, "are you going to order anything today?". Given that this was the man who took my order when I initially visited 40mins earlier, I was shocked at the attitude and lack of principles on display. When I was told in a sharp and unfriendly manner that no latte was available I ordered the gluten free desert. During that long wait I managed to knit another four rows of a 200 stitches per row project. My friend had finished their meal and NO desert was EVER presented to me. My friend paid in FULL, I gave good wishes to the couple sat to my right and took my leave. WHAT A HORRIBLE, CONDESCENDING, UNFRIENDLY GROUP OF PEOPLE. Yes we have all suffered in some ways due to the pandemic but the pursuit of money over public safety and comfort should NEVER be the priority. Additionally when you meet a friendly polite young lady like myself who supported your business and then took a friend in to contribute even more, you should be grateful and not talk down to people and above all do your job and serve them what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had some food deliveries from the Fungi club during lockdown and loved them and we FINALLY got to go in for dinner last night. We all had a lovely evening, the food was all delicious, particularly the chicken liver parfait, cassoulet and the mont blanc gateaux. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. A couple of us were drinking the delicious cidre and one of the serves thought they had ran out of chilled bottles as it was very popular, we took a room temperature bottle and they provided us with loads of ice in a bottle cooler and were very apologetic. After we had drunk about half of it they reappeared with a full chilled bottle they had found and swapped them out, no problem. It's little touches like this that show the team care about the business, highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read more10/10! Fantastic food, authentic French flavors! Itās a perfect spot for a light lunch/tea as the serving sizes are on the smaller side. If it comes with a green salad, it will be served on a small plate. Next time Iāll try an entree sized item as Iām still a bit peckish ā but to be fair, I did come in for a very late lunch.
The little green salads are delicious and crunchy. I had the salmon and leek quiche and my partner the seafood crepe ā both outstanding!
Looking forward to coming back!...
