We were in Blandford Forum on Friday and looking to have lunch somewhere. We came across the Gorge cafe and saw a blackboard outside saying Cod and Chips for £5.55 so we thought that's worth looking at. Ordered the Cod and Chips at the bar along with 2 Cafe Lattes and took a seat in the rear of the cafe, mind your head with the low ceiling. It arrived very quickly from a nice staff member. It was a generous portion considering the price and came with garden peas. You can pick up your own sauces when you ordered. The fish was lovely with a tasty and crunchy batter and nice crisp chunky chips. Altogether great value , good food and nice staff.

So happy we stopped here for breakfast! The 2nd best breakfast Ive ever had... first being our local of course 😂 friendly staff, perfect food, clean and Quirky interior. The food was beautifully cooked and you can tell they take pride in their cafe. Excellent happy customer service. Highly recommend this place. Only downside... its a 6 hour drive from where we live 😂 thank you very much!

Beautiful, old school breakfast. Will not be needing food for a few hours! The young lad who served us was courteous and polite, and the breakfast caberet from the owners, who were "de-coronationing" the cafe after the weekends events was entertaining 😁 Will definitely be stopping by for another guilty breakfast when I'm next in Blandford.

This place used to be lush. The last two times we went in there it's dirty and grubby, thats the worst part for me. I told my kids not to touch anything 🤮 would have left but they were hungry. The staff werr rude, they literally don't speak to you they are just young people that look like they can't be arsed to be there. waitress bought the food over and didn't say a word, didn't even smile. no asking if everything is ok. there was a table behind us of young lads swearing all the time, was not happy my kids could hear it! the food is cheap value stuff, the chips were all greasy/crispy burntness. we didn't eat it and would have asked for our money back but felt like we'd have got a mouthful. was a waste of money and we won't be going back there which is a shame. the Gorge in Dorchester in comparison is a palace. as I said used to love going here but it's really gone...
