Koh Gurkha, Nepalese - Thai restaurant & bar — Restaurant in England

We were looking for a place to eat on short notice as we headed back from a day out and came across Koh Gurkha.

The restaurant is hidden away down a side alley but it is well worth seeking out. The staff were friendly, the service quick and it seemed to be popular with the locals.

I ordered the chilli chicken (chefs special), which was delicious with a delayed spice kick, my kids share the lamb makhani and wolfed it down and my wife got the prawn Khee Mao and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Really reasonable price and we all left well fed .

If I lived closer, it would definitely be somewhere I ate at...

Absolutely exceptional food in an authentic and peaceful setting. The momos are to die for, the food is beautifully presented, and the service is attentive.

The only disappointment was to see a customer (see below review, R D) berrate and verbally abuse a staff member in a completely unjustified and entitled manner. No one deserves to be spoken to in that way, and it speaks more of the person than it does Koh Gurkha.

My husband and were staying nearby in Blandford last night and Koh Ghurka caught our eye. We ordered online, with ease, for a collection service. We wondered over, arrived 10mins early but the food was ready. When we got back to our hotel we were pleasantly surprised to find 2 extra sauces and an extra poppadum. The food looked good and tasted even better. The best Katsu and Korma curries we've had, with plenty of meat and an all round greay portion size.

We highly recommend and hope to come back again...
