Free entry, no tickets or booking needed. A wonderful town museum; it’s like a Tardis - seems much bigger on the inside as there’s so much to see. The staff are great too, very knowledgeable. It’s dog-friendly, activities for children, there’s a great garden, and a nice gift shop. Highly recommend a visit 😀

A Museum about a small town. Pretty cool place, small, compact and filled with the history of the town. I wish I took more photos,

Don't miss this wonderful English gem! Town museums can be rather hit-or-miss. Blandford's town museum is a huge hit. They manage to cram centuries of history into such a small space, supported by relevant artifacts and some quite astonishingly good dioramas and set-piece displays. What was intended to be a quick half-hour coursesy visit, turned into a mesmerising, fascinating journey into the past. The volunteers running the museum are engaging and knowlegable. If there is no other reason for you to visit Blandford, then do consider doing so just for this. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, and well done, to all of the Museum team for making this available - and at no...

The Blandford Town Museum is a volunteer run organisation, who do a marvelous job of running the museum, looking after local history and running activities. They're committed to preserving history, while embracing technology to be an accessible local attraction that has deep roots in the local community. Anyone who wants to learn more about the local area should visit the museum, or their website, to learn more about what they do and what...

Tiny museum but crammed with interesting items. Extremely well explained and labelled. Not too much of any one subject, so suitable for all ages. Small but well-stocked shop. Really friendly but unobtrusive volunteers. Am going to pinch some of their ideas for the museum I volunteer in. One of the best museums (of many) I have visited. Obviously loved and well cared for by the management. Highly...
