Don't miss this wonderful English gem! Town museums can be rather hit-or-miss. Blandford's town museum is a huge hit. They manage to cram centuries of history into such a small space, supported by relevant artifacts and some quite astonishingly good dioramas and set-piece displays. What was intended to be a quick half-hour coursesy visit, turned into a mesmerising, fascinating journey into the past. The volunteers running the museum are engaging and knowlegable.
