This is the first time we have eaten at a brewery and we weren’t disappointed. The welcome from the staff and I assume the lady in charge was lovely and made you feel right at home, through our entire visit you could hear her talking to the staff and public in the same way, very bubbly and a genuinely lovely person. My husband had a pint of Dorset Tanglefoot Ale with the tanglefoot steak & ale pie with creamy mash and red cabbage, a very good portion size and was very tasty, the mash was creamy the pie was full of filling and the pastry wasn’t bulky and was filling. I had a pot of tea and lager battered fish and chips, it was incredibly delicious, the fish was a large portion and the chips were tripled cooked and they were delightful, I chose the mushy peas and there was tartar sauce, the peas were nice and I wasn’t keen on the tartar sauce, but that’s just me because I’m very fussy when it comes to tartar sauce. I was able to get three cups of tea out of my pot, the cup was a small size but it was plenty to drink and the tea stayed warm. Overall, we had an enjoyable time and we will definitely be back again. The toilets were clean and very welcoming as well. I couldn’t see disabled access as there are stairs into the restaurant, to be honest I didn’t ask if they had disabled access, luckily I was able to manage the steps with my walking aid crutch. The atmosphere was very calm and it felt like a very happening but chilled space, it was very enjoyable and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for making our lunch a worthy decision.

What a hidden gem of a place, always liked Badger beers but had the chance to do a brewery tour for my 40th Birthday and had a great time. The tour guide Carl was brilliant, learnt all about the brewery and the history of the brewery and then entered the wonderful industrial area where all the magic happens, fascinating place and great beer samples after the tour. So would I recommend this place for a good day out? Absolutely, O, and the restaurant is brilliant too serving great food and fresh beer. The only thing that was lacking was the shop, for such a unique brewery the shop seemed a little bare and lack of choice, no beer towels for instance but still not the end of the world and a great day out, highly recommended.

I went on a Brewery Tour here and really enjoyed it. It was very comprehensive and took well over two hours . Apart from looking around the whole brewery and the brewing process, it also involved a trip onto the top of one building allowing some lovely views across Blandford Forum and also the Old Brewery Building. Seeing the bottling plant in action was also good especially as it is the bottled variant of this beer that first brought this brewery to my attention. Parking was quite tight mainly as the venue is let out for conferences and courses. The tour ended with a complimentary drink at the end.

Rude staff!

My family and I popped into the brewery to see what was there and maybe book a tour. We were greeted by a woman behind the desk in the shop with a disapproving look like we had entered when they were closed (this was 3pm). We tried to make conversation about looking for a beer, she just pointed and said - through there without any other help. I then asked if they did brewery tours and she said ‘not today’ and looked away to continue talking to other members of staff, when I asked “oh, do you not do tours or is it just not today” and she again repeated not today and looked away. She was so so rude I couldn’t quite believe it. I was expecting her to be friendly, maybe tell us about what tours are available and when they run but she made us so unwelcome and uncomfortable I’m astounded they get any business at all. Never have I ever met such a rude woman in...

We had a fantastic time at the Brewery during our Saturday morning tour - it's definitely one of the best we've experienced. The staff were welcoming, and our tour guide, Andy, was exceptional. For those who might feel a bit tipsy after the tasting session, there's a beautiful river beside the factory for a stroll, plus plenty of shops and cafes in the town. I'm giving it a solid 5 stars based on the tour alone. However, there are a couple of areas that could use some improvement:

  1. The booking system and process for making changes were quite inadequate. I tried calling the brewery 3 times (within opening hours) to check we'd been rebooked on a later tour but there was no answer.
  2. Although the menu appeared promising, the food quality and portion sizes were disappointing. It did however fill a spot (after the beers) and came with a 25% discount, having been...
