I've been looking for a fairly local place that does ramen and Tomoko Ramen was what we found. A few things. This place had very few reviews and a high rating. This left me and my party somewhat skeptical, especially when we found out that this place has been open for over a year. Why so few reviews? Two reasons. #1: The opening times of Tomoko Ramen are somewhat unusual. #2: It would appear they do a lot of business on apps such as Deliveroo / Just Eat, so there are more reviews on there than there is on Google. Anyway, back to the review. The food here was brilliant and the menu is set out in a way that is easy to understand. The menu isn't huge but there's enough on offer. I found it hard deciding between several options as many of their menu items sounded really good. Also, very good takoyaki here, albeit a bit smaller than I'm used to, but still very good! The service here is great. Very accommodating and friendly. Overall very polite. There's also a stamp card for drinks made in-house which is a nice touch. The atmosphere is very cozy. Tomoko Ramen is VERY small which adds to that coziness. I'd say it's a bit smaller than what I'm used to as for most of our time there myself and my party were the only ones there. But if you're looking to a place where you want quiet and music to accompany the atmosphere, this is definitely the place. We'll definitely be coming back here at some point!

This is a really great neighbourhood ramen/noodle bar. Just a few tables and window seat benches and was a little quiet when we went in early on Saturday evening (so we sat in the window and watched the world pass by). Menu has plenty of choice - shouldn't matter if you are veggie or vegan, but you will have less - there is a slight tendency to favouring meat-based dishes. Still, the quality was excellent. If I'm going to compare this to what you know the obvious choice is Wagamama: expect a quieter, calmer experience but one with altogether better food, a little more pricey - but definitely worth it. Should be easy to get to - on Ashley Road so walk there if you're local, get an M bus and walk a few metres or if you drive have a look for on road parking somewhere nearby. Will definitely be going again.

Clean, friendly, and tasty. My family certainly has enjoyed their cheeky stay. The menu is professional and simple. We had 3x Ramen for 12.50 GBP each and 3x Coke for 2 GBP a can. Points for consideration: Offering 'eat-ins' without the provision of a toilet is a real downside although it is not a requirement with fewer than 10 seats. Serving time, and taking orders: 23 minutes seems a long time for letting the customer select their food. Since there was no other customer in the store we favourably assumed the kitchen must have been busy with orders. Although the prices are a nudge too high for us to return, we shall recommend the food when asked.

I had the braised beef Kakuni and at nearly £16 I have to say I was quite disappointed, 3 small pieces which were mostly fat with very little else in the broth except sweetcorn, the ramen was nice but choosing the spicy broth the flavour was a little lacking to be honest. The Mrs went for the gyoza and ramen and said she found it small but tasted just okay.

Haven been to many Japanese restaurants and traveled Japan several times I was excited to try this place very close to where we live, left still hungry and spent over £35!

If your looking for generous portions and much friendlier service I'd say Noodle bar in Bournemouth at much less of the price is where to go!

Decoration was nice but let down by the food unfortunetly, told the owner and said was more meat in a portion than we got and...
