My friend and I popped in here last night around 5:30pm. You have to put your car reg into an on line parking bay. This gives you up to 3 hours in their car park. This is situated as you come though the main entrance. We waited to be seated about 3 min-5mins. It wasn't busy. We went to the bar then waited again to be given a table. The table was clean but my cutlery wasn't. Thumb mark on knife. I did get it changed though. Menu is a basic pub menu. Seems very simular to it's other competitors. So, my friend wanted the " Winters Chicken.. no Chicken and no Fish we were told when we ordered. Would have been good if this was stated on a board so everyone knew before hand. I then settled for the Gammon steak and my friend a Chicken pie and gravy ( both served with vegetables). I had aside of Garlic mushrooms and BBQ dip. (A sauce option would be good). Not impressed at all. I wasn't asked how I wanted my Gammon, the chips seemed slightly cold, and my friend said the pie was bland. We had refillable drinks, but the free added flavours weren't working and I did try all 3 before reporting it. A server called Kevin took our orders. He was polite and very knowledgeable about the menu. And asked me if I had any food allergies before I ordered. The desserts menu was expensive and some items weren't suitable for winter dining. A lot of chocolate based desserts. Would have been nice if there was a diabetic or low sugar option, so didn't order after the main meal. Good options are a under £9,50 for 2 mains menu between 3pm and 6pm Monday to Friday with limited starters and desserts. A Sunday roast dinner option. Refillable drinks. I will pop in again to try the Sunday roast and review that on a later date. Unlike other well known chains whom charge tax on their food, Brewers Fayre didn't. Only one thing that desperately needs addressing the rusty radiator in the ladies toilet. This is dangerous, both for adults and children. Sharp edges and peeling paint. Needs to be addressed A.S.A.P. A person whom ordered before us and had been waiting approximately 20 mins got his food just after we got ours and had to ask where his was!!! As it wasn't busy and there was no wait time in progress, how come was it that he had to ask to see where his food was? 2/10 my friend gave the experience, but I will give it 5/10. Kids play area is great and very family friendly. VERY Clean dinning and bar areas, and with sanitizer available. Cocktail hour as advertised. Discount cards are welcome, but best check on line first.

Usual desperate experience. You know you're in for a culinary trial with something that calls itself "Brewers Fayre" where not only the spelling and punctuation are highly questionable, but the saccharine noststalgia is reflected in the entire ersatz pretence. Unfortunately, no genuine restaurant within easy reach, particularly after a hard day's work and just needing something nice to eat in a relaxing atmosphere. Here you will be disappointed on both counts. How many "restaurants" (besides the even more dismal McDonalds) do you have to queue to order your food and then pay for it "Meal Deal" by "Meal Deal" first? Enough paper to light a fire and a waste of 10 minutes, while those behind me quietly fume... Food was beige, unappetising and expensive as apparently microwave produced "ready meals" or from the freezer. The total lack of imagination, care and provenance speaks volumes about what they must see as either a captive audience or clientèle who know no better. WiFi is also ( deliberately? ) woeful unless you pay for an upgrade. Luckily local mobile data is slightly better. Second night. Surpassed first night for dismal food served by people who had apparently given up the will to live. Starter: 4 small over cooked frozen fish gojouns priced at £1.32 per goujon. I have no further words, so look at the photo. Main: overcooked haddock in a bullet-proof - possibly Kevlar - batter. Cheap peas. A few chips. Plonked on table - a sporting £12. Meal deal a complete con, complimented by a drawn-out exercise at the till and a series of charges for "extras". Read above ... see any luxury extras? Neither do I.

I had to wait ages for the drinks to arrive at the table and it wasn't busy as this was midweek. Food, well the fish pie was tasty but so much sauce! My burger with cheese on the top, without the bun looked like the cat had got there first. Certainly no cheese in the cheese and the burger is chewy. We didn't enjoy it but the cheesecake and ice cream was better. One of my gripes about the menu is there aren't any prices for the beers actually on the menu. You have to go to the bar and look hard to find the pricelist. The manager shrugged her shoulders and said it didn't have prices as they were changing while the menu was being compiled. How about putting another flyer out or even adding a sticker on the menu, and making sure it can be wiped, oh, and reminding the staff to wipe the menus as I hate having a menu that has sticky fingermarks from previous guests. Remember COVID? As we were staying at the Premier Inn, there wasn't any other place to walk to other than McD's so the second night we had the fish and chips. That was much better. The breakfast was nice too.

Rubbish. Went there yesterday with my two children and husband, soon as we got there waitress tried to seat us on small table literally couldn't pull chair out from table to sit down as we would have hit the people behind us (My husband is 6 foot 2 ) our one year old who needed a high chair couldn't fit at the side as there was no space ,so naturally we tried to put it at the front of the table but the waitress who was very rude and made us feel unwelcome said no because of walking space for others but in our opinion there was plenty of room , we then asked to move tables, which she did ,then when we sat down she gave our eldest son (2) a grubby old childs menu with the picture already coloured in obviously used before. I ordered the giant Yorkshire pudding with sausage and mash to share with my 1 year old ,the gravy was like water . We waited for a waitress/waiter to come and ask 'hows everything ' so I could show them and maybe they could of replaced it , but nothing the staff were just walking past in my opinion they were to concerned in cleaning tables and getting them ready for the next diners , getting the food out and taking away the plates. No interaction with diners . Absolute rubbish our meal as a family was over £50 , it would of been nice to have enjoyed it so after we decided to take our two children to the play area as we got in there the young girl said the children could come in but there is only 10 minutes left until they close for 1 hour ,well I thought that's fine 10 minutes long enough so I signed there names in the book like she said, literally as soon as I had taken my two sons shoes of the came in and said they were closing it was 2 minutes, I literally had to peel my childrens fingers away from the toys they had just got in there !!! . I told the young girl you said 10minutes her reply was I lost track of time not good enough in my opinion this is not college they need proper training In customer etiquette .wouldn't go...

TERRIBLE MEALS Probably the worst meals we have had for many years. We use the Hampton on a regular basis and have been going there for over 20 years enjoying family get togethers and major birthday events so know the place well and, with the odd exception, have enjoyed our visits. The front of house staff are really friendly and efficient with special mention of Sam, Kelly and kevin (the manager). The week before last we ordered sirloin steaks (rare) but when it arrived it was so overcooked it was tough and inedible. We pointed this out and there was no problem in the meal being returned and fresh ones delivered but, unfortunately, they turned out the same. We also note that portions of chips etc were about half the size as they had been (obviously a cost saving instruction from HO). We were credited with the cost of the meals. This last Friday we decided to try again but this was worse. Ordered haddock and chips etc as it looked so appetising on the Menu – it came out nothing like. Instead of golden it was dirty brown and greasy looking. When we tried it was completely dried out from being overcooked and was inedible again. Meal returned and a fresh order of something we knew was normally ok, chicken and ribs. Another disaster – one of the ribs was completely burnt and dried so much the meat was impossible to get off the ribs and the other one was not much better. The chicken and salad was ok but we did not try to return yet another meal (how does the restaurant make a profit?). I can only guess that the kitchen staff have no interest in their work. Its clear that they do not have any interest in what leaves the kitchen as they only have to look at what they are serving to see that it’s not acceptable. All this happens late afternoon before the place gets busy. I believe that the only reason it survives is because its attached to a Premier Inn. ...
