Great little place. Visited a few times now for drinks. Plenty of outside seating with little tables, and for those needing sun protection, garden parasols are in situ. Dog friend, accessible toilet, clean and friendly staff. Inside you have a tram although you can't go inside it, it's a nice bit of local history to look at. Nice little place 👌

We stopped for cappuccino and toasted tea cakes on a beautiful sunny day. We sat outside in the courtyard which was fairly busy but service was quick. Inside is quirky with a train carriage and great atmosphere.

Great chocolate milkshake and delicious flat white, but the white American was a disappointment. It was very busy and the queue was slow moving, but service was then quick.

Visited at 12:30 on Sunday 2nd Feb. After queuing I was told that they were not taking any orders for hot drinks as it would take at least twenty minutes.

There was only one or two tables inside, and maybe 15 people outside. I asked how many coffees do they need to make, as I could come round and help them as I have a lot of knowledge and experience around coffee. They refused to tell me how many they had backed up, and just said any orders we’d have to wait twenty minutes.

I really wonder how businesses like this actually survive in the times we live in. I kind of feel sorry for the staff as they are just kids, they don’t have any trained barista working, or anyone with experience who understands how to speed up service when a sudden influx of orders come in.

To just refuse to take any orders is just not right.

I again offered to come in one day to train the staff for free so this doesn’t happen again in the future. My help...

We went to the excellent Leigh On Sea Shanty event, a great day out on Saturday 20th May 2023, and had a Toasted Cheese Panini, which although it was nicely cooked, we felt that a sprig of salad wouldn’t go amiss, as it was as dry as old boots!! We had to ask for a knife and fork, plus they only had pepper and no salt!! As we was leaving we looked at someone else’s table and they had salad in their cheese and ham Panini, so we went back to ask why ours didn’t have salad in it, and was simply told Cheese only, doesn’t come with salad in it!!! Well May I suggest that for future customer satisfaction, that you put a sprig of salad in all your Panini’s. Apart from that a lovely atmosphere, sitting outside in the sun, in a well...

I want to love this place but unfortunately the service has been beyond slow both times I have visited. I thought the first time might have been a fluke but the second time took twice as long, when there were only 2-3 other guests. I had to ask for the cokes I ordered in 24 degree heat after waiting about 20 minutes for them, and another 10 mins after that for a ham and cheese panini 😬 the staff are really friendly, but very young and lacking that level of professionalism/ attentiveness to tend to the customers quickly enough. I saw two other groups of people asking about their orders after having to wait unusually long times for very simple orders. So unfortunately won’t be back or...
