Went here for meal to celebrate our anniversary and it really didn't disappoint!. Firstly the place is spotlessly clean and all the covid precautions are firmly in place without ever interfering with your experience so well played for that . Secondly the atmosphere for a romantic dinner was spot on , nice dimmed lights, a booth to ourselves and fresh flowers and oil burning waxless candles on the table really set the scene . Finally the food, which I have to say was spot on ! Complimentary bread board while we waited for our starter which is a great idea but a bit pointless when the three different flavoured homemade butters have come straight out of a fridge and are too hard to spread on the bread (my only complaint of the whole evening). For starters the mrs had tomato bruscetta which she said was really fresh and flavourful and I had the squid , which I have to say was the best squid I've ever had . Really soft and delicious with a crunchy batter/breading the addition of the saffron and lime mayo for dipping and plenty of thinly sliced fresh chilli to spice things up worked a treat as well . Then for main courses I went for the seafood linguine (crab prawns and langoustine ) which really was amazing and the other half had a chicken and pepperoni pizza, which she said was also fantastic . No room for desserts sadly but a decent espresso martini topped it off nicely for me . Had never been to the Italian kitchen before but will 100% be going back again.

We drove up from Ipswich and are staying in a holiday park nearby so thought we’d look for a nice restaurant, me and my partner love italian so googled italian food nearby and this is the first that came up, and i’m soooo glad it did! This place serves the most beautiful food, the tiramisu was the best we have ever had. Service was so quick and our waitress Ellie was so lovely. You get complimentary bread which was beautiful, very big portions for the price too! We couldn’t believe how much food and drinks we got for £73. If we didn’t live 5 hours away we would be back and i’m devastated i can’t come back. The restaurant is small and cozy by the lake. The man who i think is the owner/manager (sorry if im wrong) visibly treats his staff with respect and was helping to clear tables, as any boss should! What a lovely place!

My husband and I are doing a London > Paris > UK trip. We are nearing the end and this was THE BEST meal we have had on our entire trip! We ordered the two seasonal items; pork pappardelle and pork and chicken pizza 🤌🏼 I wish this place was in the US. So flavorful and you could tell they use high quality ingredients. We are here for Tiger Day so I’d highly recommend stopping here if you are in town. Thank you for the tasty meal, wine and great service! After our meal we sat out near the water to watch the ducks. Great time together.

Ask questions before you commit..... High expense with no outcome.....

As a family group of 6 on holiday staying nearby, we were looking forward to this meal and had planned our travel in and out by bus. We were therefor time limited. Having been greeted and seated in a polite and timely manner, we waited an acceptable 5-10 minutes to place our drinks order. We then placed our food order within 20 minutes or so......wind on 30 minutes we were provided 'complimentary' breads.....which were admittedly very nice. Fast forward another 50 minutes or so, I approached a waitress to ask how long our food would be (as we had not had contact from any server aside of me having had to go to the bar to order further drinks.) Her reply "oh, what table are you from?" So, off she goes to ask, and returns a few moments later to finally admit that they only have 1 chef on. The top floor is full, the second floor is near to full and our floor....well, there were three tables occupied.... time is fast approaching our last bus so we explain the predicament. The waitress then goes to ask how long the food will be and returns to suggest it will be soon. By now it was too late and due to the complete lack of communication we had had enough and also needed to leave in order to get home. She then offered for our food to go in doggy bags (she didn't say it so many words, but I can't imagine a rigatoni and lasagne in a box....) We refused. We ended up with a £60 bill for drinks (which werent discounted as suggested)....and a "we won't charge you for the food" (which we didnt receive) sweetener!

In all, a "highlight" of our holiday and will be memorable for the appalling communication and service - a complete waste of time and I would suggest asking questions about their staffing / bookings before committing.

As a side note, the Co-op down the road do nice pizzas and the local bus service are reliable and dropped us off on the doorstep...our oven is currently on...

this restaurant is absolutely appalling. the front of house staff were absolutely lovely, on the other hand the kitchen staff were absolutely disgusting- behaviour wise. it is absolutely unacceptable what i witnessed on so many different levels. i went to walk around into the kitchen to say something about the food being cold as a waiter showed me the way, as we walked into the kitchen the female chef was outside smoking (whilst the restaurant was completely full) and she asked what the problem was, without a care in the world and after being as rude as you could be, she threw the cigarette she had in her hand at the waiters face and to be quite frank i was disgusted and disappointed. the waiter was nothing but nice and did not deserve that at all. not to mention the food was cold, presentation was poor and tasted quite vile. we ordered a pizza, carbonara, the truffle fries, and a lasagna. the lasagna was practically frozen in the middle, carbonara luke warm at most, the pizza was rubbery, and the truffle fries smelt awful but me and my partner still gave them a try…one of the worst things i have tasted. along with the fact you get a complimentary bread platter…it was stale. me and my partner were visiting my parents and wanted to have a nice meal and they suggested this place. honestly, first and last time i walk through...
