Very very cheap quality and therefore very very very overpriced. Had the breakfast…beans were nuked so they were as hot as the Sun. Bacon unbelievably salty (cheap), sausages yucky consistency (clearly cheap) pork. Eggs were ok. Toast was a single slice of what I imagine the ‘smart price’ bread that’s 10p a loaf must taste like. Literally no quality or class whatsoever. I often enjoy a fried breakfast on our regular walks around the county and for the price this was genuinely one of the worst I’ve had. Imagine what you’d get at a cheap cafe (caff) and this is it (but without the big portions). Had I known this was the quality level I would have gone elsewhere. Will be a long time before we return unless they up their game particularly quality wise. I can only assume this is a new chef (and owners?) since we last came. These arches restaurants seem to think they are on the French Riviera based on the prices, but they forget you’re looking at parked cars and a road! On a positive note, the waitress was very...
Read moreThe breakfast took over 30 mins to be served. Me and my partner got served 5 minutes apart which meant she had nearly finished by the time mine turned up, the toast took even longer. £2 for 1 slice of toast! the staff were only friendly to the regulars and would barely acknowledge we were there. The smallest sized breakfast i have ever seen. Even a child would still be hungry after eating it. To make the breakfast look bigger they dump virtually a whole can of beans on which floods the entire plate. Bacon was overcooked to the point it was so stiff i could have knocked someone out with it if throw at them. The egg was so oily i knew my bottom would pay for it later, and i was right! The table was still sticky like it hadn't been cleaned, there was left over food on the floor from god knows how long. Unless you like spending £20 on 2 breakfasts and still being starving afterwards i would recommend...
Read moreWent for a snack coffee and apple pie x2 what a joke. Apple pie was shocking £6.75 four pieces of canned apple, dreadful soggy pastry no cinnamon about a cm thick, had to be the worst pie I’ve eaten it was microwaved with the custard on it not served separately.. the ice cream was lovely so there’s that. The waitress was very polite. Actually surprised we paid!! We always tip as been in the restaurant industry for years but didn’t on this occasion won’t be going back
In response to your answer, it may well be “homemade” in the loosest possible sense ie made on premises but that’s canned apple with no cinnamon the pastry is ready rolled.. I’m a chef so I know.. please serve your custard separately that pie cost £5/6 to make it’s very very poor!! Please do better. Imagine having to apologise for...
