Staff attitude & customer service is disgusting. Me and my partner were taking a stroll down the beach yesterday evening when we noticed a pretty Rossi's icecream cafe. We could see the staff were packing away but we thought we only want a mr whippy or something, so they may accommodate for us, considering we had no intention to sit inside. It was then I asked a man with long hair, in a ponytail(I think he may have had a mustache) if they were closed yet. He did not even hesitate or say sorry, he just said Yh we are closed. Which fair enough you guys were closed. But that isn't the issue, after we asked this, he proceeded to enter the building & laugh and giggle with his colleagues about the fact he just told us no. It was then they continued to whisper & giggle, unaware of the fact we could still see & hear them. This is unkind, and most definitely not how you are to treat customers. To them I am probably a no one & they think I'm not gonna say anything or take action, but this interaction bothered me so much. One it has ruined my perception on the cafe itself, made me realise the staff need further training. I have worked in multiple customer service jobs & would never belittle customers like this. I just wanted to walk down the beach with an ice cream, but the staff clearly were in a rush to go home. In my experience at customer service & hospitality, even if your shift was ended but there is still people enjoying the service, you do not rush them out. I expect my interaction will be acted on, & there will be consequences for those involved. Behaviour like this from staff should not be tolerated and in my opinion effects the reputation of the business. I will no longer reccommend this place to anyone. After looking at other reviews it appears you guys only respond to the good reviews, & completely ignore the bad ones. Therefore, I kindly request you guys respond to the above review, acknowledge my complaints & inform me of what action...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Rossi Ice Cream Parlour, and I must say, their vanilla ice cream is truly the best I've ever tasted in the UK! The moment I took my first spoonful, I was transported to a world of pure creamy bliss. The rich and smooth texture combined with the perfect balance of sweetness made for an unforgettable experience. What made my visit even more exceptional was the stunning surroundings and the enchanting beach view. On a sunny summer day, there's nothing quite like enjoying a cold, refreshing ice cream while gazing out at the sparkling waves. It added an extra touch of magic to the entire experience. One highlight of my visit was indulging in their sundae, priced at a reasonable £6.50. It was a masterpiece of flavors and textures. The combination of the luscious vanilla ice cream, delectable toppings, and delightful presentation made it an absolute joy to savor. Each spoonful was a heavenly delight that left me wanting more. The staff at Rossi Ice Cream Parlour were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their offerings. They helped me choose the perfect sundae and made sure my visit was enjoyable from start to finish. If you're a fan of vanilla ice cream, I highly recommend making a trip to Rossi Ice Cream Parlour. Treat yourself to their exquisite sundae and relish in the idyllic beach view. It's an experience that will leave you with lasting memories and a craving for their delectable ice...
Read moreRossi ice cream in Southend is, without a doubt, a local institution for a reason. The ice cream itself is truly fantastic – creamy, flavourful, and exactly what you crave on a stroll along the seafront. They’ve perfected their core product, and it shows. However, a visit to Rossi's isn't solely about the ice cream, especially if you're hoping to enjoy a decent hot drink alongside your scoop. The hot drink selection is, frankly, awful. It honestly feels like the drinks are made by people who have never actually drunk a hot drink in their lives, let alone enjoyed one. You'd find a more satisfying cup of coffee or tea from a basic van parked on a trading estate. My recent experience trying to order a flat white was particularly frustrating. If you can't make a proper flat white, please, for the love of all that is good, stop advertising and serving them. What I received was less a coffee and more like hot, flavourless seed water. It was painfully clear that the coffee machine desperately needed fixing or, at the very least, a thorough cleaning, as it certainly wasn't dispensing anything resembling espresso. So, while the ice cream at Rossi's remains a staple, do yourself a favour and skip the hot drinks. Save your money and your taste buds for a proper...
