Great selection of beer, lovely people behind the bar and friendly service. Amazing garden for families it's a dream place. Dog friendly and the locals seem like lovely people too. I would definitely go again, I've highlighted my thoughts below. The service at the bar was incredibly Slow and drinks were expensive. There was clearly a rush of people before we got there and it seemed a bit of a clean up mission in the bar. I totally respect that, just for us, it was incredibly slow and we'd been walking for a while. 15 minutes, with 3 staff and about 6 customers, we were a bit confused and just waited patiently to be served. Starters: We had the halloumi fries and pate for starters. £7 for deep fried halloumi I thought was pretty steep, literally done like chips, no breadcrumbs or coating, no flavour at all, over cooked. The pate was standard pate and OK priced. Roast: The roast pork (we both had it) had no seasoning and was a pretty fatty cut. I'd expect to see some kind of charred edge but it was very lacking, unsure if this had been roasted or boiled, on a plus, it was moist. Veggies were in abundance and done to perfection! Cauliflower cheese was extra (nearly £4!!) was nice and cauliflower had a little bit left in it which is always good, For just shy of £11 quid, I will return. It's a bit KFF/brakes dressed up posh with nice DECENT veggies. That all being said, I think it was a great place and nice people, the veggies and presentation was Brill.

The food in this pub is absolutely out of this world. I had a prawn & crayfish jacket potato, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had! The potato was cooked to absolute perfection & the prawn & crayfish tasted like they had just come out of the sea, the freshness was sublime. To top it off, it came with a beautiful salad and HOMEMADE coleslaw that was also out of this world. I highly recommend this place as the service as well as the food was top notch! Staff are friendly and very, very helpful. I had an all round A* experience here. Thanks so much.

The Kings Arms Pub is situated in the historic village of Upper Upnor, the home of Upnor Castle, which is 100 yards down the cobbled street away. We specialise in Real Ales and regularly change the local beers on tap. We also offer various ciders and Belgium Bottled beers, winning various awards over the years for range and quality that we offer. This is down to the care and attention that Rob and his team have acquired over time, aswell as the fully maintained and temperature controlled cellar they are stored in.

Was looking for a gastropub and this place was suggested on Google, and it didn’t disappoint. A quaint and local pub for a lovely lunch with mum. All fresh food, cooked very very well, and decent sized portions. We had the pate to start, sea bass with salsa verde for main and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert. The pudding was so soft and fresh. There were good veggie and vegan options available too. Free parking literally opposite the pub.

Friendly staff, drinks at sensible prices with a Restaurant area that was not open the evening of our visit. Was shown a Menu which had a good selection as well as the Daily Specials.Set at the top of Upnor High St with Upnor Castle very close, also overlooking the river Medway and the Historic Dockyard .Well worth a visit. A nice bonus is the nearby Free car park with a 20 Hour Limit.
