The Mogul Tandoori — Restaurant in England

Delicious food and a lovey friendly greeting when we entered. Service was a little slow due to 2 staff being off that evening. Owner was very chatty but the trainee waiter was rather quiet and plonked food on the table without any enthusiasm or eye contact. He seemed a bit bored.

We ordered the tandoori duck and mogul special curry. Took about an hour to arrive but was worth the wait. It was later explained the the duck had to be marinated which proves it was freshly prepared and cooked, but would have been better to be advised of this at the point of order.

At the end of the meal we were presented with the bill and some nice warm towels along with orange chocolates. Waited 10 minutes and I then had to go up to the bar to make payment despite clearly showing I was ready to pay at the table.

Pricing was reasonable for food but £9 for a baileys and a cobra was a touch expensive. Poppadoms and dips made a nice starter and overall the meal was great value for money, we took leftovers back to our hotel for next day lunch!

Would love to visit again when fully staffed and perhaps sample a quicker dish from the vast and...

The Mogul is well and truly the best Indian cuisine in Trowbridge, it combines a small personal 5 star service, with amazing food that is so packed full of flavor you'd never want to try the whole menu being stuck on one dish.

My family and I have been going here for years and I have spread the word to many people I know who have since been converted to the Mogul's food, it's brilliant in everyway.

I can recommend the Chicken Tikka tawah, mild, medium and extra spicy are all amazing options, combine that with a garlic naan and pilau or garlic rice(I'm big on garlic) and you'll have a meal that is filling for your stomach, mind and soul.

The Mango Chutney Rogan, Jalfrezzi, Kurma, Bhuna and koftas are also all amazing dishes, there's no doubt anything on the menu would be anything but great.

I can 10/10 highly recommend this restaurant or even for a takeaway, you won't regret giving them a go, the service in the restaurant is always amazing too, bring a regular of course I always get an extra treat, and discounts for larger tables certainly help for bigger groups wanting a...

Visited this restaurant just now on 29 July 2019 with family. Disgusted with the food as found insects in tandoori roti, above all not in one !!!!! Has ordered 6 and every single one had multiple insects!!!! Upon informing the manager he denies saying ‘’there are a few flies in kitchen and should be one of it, even at ur house sometime u would find flies in roti’’ Absolutely reluctant and no sense of apology or regret. Rice was also not freshly made, looked old. My parents were along and are old.... can’t really see small things well!! Imagine if they had that food :( I would suggest food authority to take a visit immediately and customers to avoid this restaurant. Never had this experience ever...
