This is my first online review and I'd hoped my first documented feedback would be positive.
Unfortunately my experience on 2 occasions over the last 7 day stay in the local village were both incredibly disheartening.
The staff were rude to my family, including my son of 7yrs and to a number of other customers waiting to be served.
We returned the following day in the hope that the first experience was potentially a "bad day" for the staff member involved...however, our second visit with a different member of staff mirrored our previous experience.
One day we were able to pay via card for 2 coffees and the next were told it was a minimum payment of 15 pounds to use a card. I was told to go to the local post office to gain cash "if you can be arsed" ...
The staff members were entirely unwelcoming and raised their voice in front of my 7yr old child who continued to ask what we had done wrong.
This cafe makes a very good coffee, but ruins your day in the process. I would advise others to travel elsewhere to get a good coffee with a side of appropriate...

No others options or Iām sorry Sir blah blah blah ! You places are very lucky that most of your customers are tourists and probably only visit a couple of times , so it seems you donāt care how you speak to people . Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been visiting polperro since I was a child, and have always found the people in polperro to be very welcoming and happy. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case here, I've tried to make small talk and have been exceptionally polite and happy, but this doesn't make any difference to the staff members here. On a positive they make a delicious crab sandwich and a very nice coffee. Please be happy it must be exhausting...
