Such a good place! Staff is friendly and accommodating - within reason and their capabilities they will try to offer food alternatives, should you ask. Lovely view of the river outside, family and dog friendly. We went several times during our holiday in Polperro as other places preferred to pretend to be posh and take bookings for food or stop food orders due to bad kitchen management. It is a classic pub (as in not very big), yet you find space for everybody and people of all walks of life enjoy good food and live music (check website for program). Food is delish, menu not big, but prepared and presented very nicely (see photos). We discovered them when we couldn't find a place to eat in the same village because we were asked if we booked. We celebrated my youngest's birthday there as well, everybody outside joined in for happy b-day singing. If the children liked the place as well, what more can I say! Bring on next year, so we come back.

A decent pub in Polperro for family-friendly food. We actually got seated at the Blue Peter but the menu was just too limited and to be honest, a bit on the expensive side for what we saw of the food so we went walk-about and instead hedged our bets on this place. We enjoyed the beer garden which does have some shady areas depending on the time of day. The kids pizza 🍕 was great, if a bit much for my almost 4yr old, our pizza was good for a basic pizza but I do think they could be a little more adventurous with their choice of toppings to make them a little more flavoursome/exciting. We added a selection of light-bites to go with it which were ok. The staff/waitress were all very friendly and food was served quickly.

Me and the wife were greeted by a lovely staff member at the entrance to the pub who led us to a seating area outside to the back of the pub. The inside looked very nice and very much a winter pub, but outside was very well done with nice seating and a sun trap for the late evening. The wife had fish and chips and i had beef short ribs, the wife loved her meal but unfortunately one of the ribs was over done and inedible, and trust me id eat pretty much anything! The staff dealt with this well and reduced the price of the meal and couldnt apologise enough. And as a small bonus we saw a deer up on the hill's. I would definitely go back again.

Just been in here with my family, (family of four). We ordered our drinks and then ordered food for all of us. After 25 minutes a table that was near us, that had just sat down and ordered, had been severed. Two women that worked here was then whispering behind our table. We heard that they had served our food to the wrong table. Our kids meals had now been served and the waitress muttered that ours had been served to the wrong table and its being cooked now. No sorry, no can I get you any more drinks, nothing. So by the times ours had come out, our kids had eaten most of the food and drank the drinks. Food was ok but had better. We then paid full price for our food, still without a sorry.. very...
