Been drinking in here for years, don't go out as much as when I was younger. It's definitely the best place to watch sport in Towcester, especially football, rugby, F1 and horse racing. There's always a exellent atmosphere when England are playing sport, everybody forgets there club rivalries and unites as 1. There's a good banter flying around when the premier league games are on. The lagers & ciders are always first class served chilled as they should be. And there's bar snacks and pizzas avaliable too. Or if you fancy a meal there sister pub is the opposite the road serving roast dinners , steaks, burgers etc. Overall a very well run pub with a great landlord John and the team. We'll worth a visit. ...

Went to the Peacock to watch England's second game, the atmosphere was superb, the landlord created a build up that was second to none and was cheerful all night ! (Grumpydude) half time saw free burger or hotdog and chips, and in a packed pub you didn't wait to get served because of the excellent systems for serving in place the only down side was that I drank too much because I did not want to leave even after the match had finished.
