What an absolute grumpy are sole. Kids are banned from the property and the geezer behind the bar couldn't have been any more unwelcoming. Wouldn't give them my money, hope they go under

No mate you were rude from the off. First thing we asked was are you serving food.to which you replied she can't come in here and no were not doing food. Do you get many problems coming to your pub with no money? No I don't suppose you do as you wouldn't go for a meal if you didn't have any money. The fact that you are being argumentative speaks volumes . We walked for another 5 minutes and found a lovely spot that served the best fish platter I have had on the island yet. I fully recommend walking straight past this place amd into any other establishment for a warm welcome. I never give anyone a bad review unless they truly deserve it. A proper 'town pub' with excellent value beverage prices. I have visited several times when in the area, and on each occasion found it to have a very friendly atmosphere, with plenty of locals in attendance. Top marks for the publican, who on my last visit noticed that one of the beers on my table was cloudy. He walked over to the table, said 'I'm not happy with that' and replaced it with one he had poured from a new barrel that he had just tapped. That kind of diligence and customer service is exceptional and should be commended. Pub was clean and was very comfortable on what was a cold day, due to the open fire. Your family pet will be welcomed too.

Went here for kids eat free deal. Dirty inside. Sticky tables and used cutlery on the floor. Food service was quick but staff were young and lacking in training. Food arrived quickly but we all left most of ours as it was greasy. Macaroni cheese was very unappetising with thick, orange cheese. My ceaser salad looked unappetising as was served with whole cold chicken breast in top. Was just wrong. We all left feeling a bit ill from the grease. Price was same as better restaurants.
