I do not visit here often, but when I do, a good time is afoot😁. We arrived just B4 15:00 17/03/24 (St. Patrick's day) & stayed until 00:00. Great meeting Marcus (new to SS area), Jo♥️ (Yoga master) & Rose (Teach me Springbok), John (bad ankles but still boogieing on down) Shazza & Kirsty (Sisters) big shouts to you all👋🤚👋👍. I think most customers didn't want it to end, I know I certainly didn't! Great traditional Irish Band🎻on after 3pm who played a marathon set of over 2 & 1/2hrs. Shortly after the band the Irish dancers entered the dance floor area👯‍♀️, great to see the little ones having a go too, they were obviously well rehearsed😊. Next up at 8pm a live 4 piece band "The Long Run" came on, They rocked! After they finished (10pm) DJ took over and saw us all through to the finish line at midnight, spinning a handful of Soul classics, Irish toons to mention some of the genres played. I was throwing myself around the dance floor like someone had hidden my sedative medication 😂 I eventually threw the coat off after working up a sweat🥵✌️but I still kept the flat cap☺️. Special mention goes to the bar staff whom, under immense volume of customers demanding 🍻🥃🍷service, (they were rushed of their feet for long periods) persevered and got through it dealing with some of us grumpy customers who had been waiting nearly 1/2 hour for a drink order to be taken and served. All in all, we had a very good time, thoroughly enjoyed and looking forward to visiting again but much sooner and not leaving it so long until the next time, I think the Long Run are going to be back next month (April '24). Nice, spacious pub with great, friendly bar staff. Lots of seating and 2 pool tables. Clean toilets, various slot machines and many TV screens - so I would imagine all sport is played (when live on TV).

I noticed a staging area - so live music, dj's - are also probably available.

Reasonably priced drinks and bar snacks available.

Look, it's a great place to go out and meet friends - with a proper 'pub' ambiance (so, I'd say its not really a place for a romantic, intimate 'date'). Oh, and I do not recall a 'smoking area' so, customers smoke outside the front.

😭 NO CARPARK 😭 and it's located on a VERY busy, main road. You will have to park on that main road (in its first available parking space), then walk to entrance Free parking on this main road after 6pm.

Bonus point... there is a 24:7 Off License opposite - so if you ever need cigarettes or more booze for an afterparty, this is an added bonus!!!!!

Been there before and had drink with friends good cheap beer and good lady behind bar very friendly and good customer service but very disappointed with the service on Monday the 28th September and walked out after checking in being seated and waiting for more than 20 minutes where the man behind the bar never came to ask what we would like and kept disappearing outside and back of bar too. Also I witnessed another customer who arrived before we did walk out too shortly before us. We then went to the trading rooms and had a far better service by staff and a way better experience. Wont be using the pub if that man is...
