Mamataz Tandoori — Restaurant in England

Meal for three adults and three different curries ordered but tasted very similar which was concerning at the outset along with no other people in the restaurant. Onion bajhi had a peculiar taste nothing like I have enjoyed in the past at many other Indian restaurants, would suggest they were not very fresh. Service not brilliant either considering we were the only ones there,. The online ordering through a well known company kept pinging so I would imagine that’s all that keeps the front door open because our group and I would suggest after reading the rest of the reviews many others will not be returning. To top it all two out of the three of us have been ill with what seems to be commonly known as Delhi Belly all day. EXCELLENT: NOT TO BE MISSED

My husband and I popped into Mamataz Tandoori restaurant Friday evening and we are so pleased we did!

The food is exceptional. It is freshly cooked and really flavoursome. Even the poppadoms and accompaniments were the best we have tasted in a long time.

There was authentic Indian music playing, but not the usual sounds. It was very relaxing. On the walls are images of locations in India which excited me when I looked at them as we will be visiting the country next year.

Thank you for such a lovely tasty meal served up at our table from a trolley with a smile. Again something that we have not seen for a while.

Have changed my review. As we went to the mamataz on 9 jan this year for my partners birthday. Have not been in since before our daughter past away over a year ago. But went in and the food was great. As were the staff. Only gave them a 3 star rate last time. But loved the food. Was fantastic. Only draw back was, there was so much. Took the rest home and had it for tea the folowing night. So new 5 star rate. Well done guys. Had a take away on sataday night. Food is a lot better when you eat in. As said had takeaway on 18th jan.
