Read moreChristmas eve drinks time and decided to call here, having not been in for a couple of years and now under new management. It was great to see that the place had been decorated from top to bottom, it was getting very tired. Service was OK, if a little unenthusiastic but the door security was totally unnecessary based on the few people who were actually in the pub. Now for the important thing- the beer- 3 ales on the bar, including one of my favourites, salopian Shropshire gold, it was not good- undertones of sour milk springs to mind. So it was 1 pint (half of which was left on the table) and back down to the pheasant for some quality ale. I doubt that I will bother...
