I been visiting this place for lunch few times and food is amazing and portions are huge they definitely keep their guests well fed...every time been there the place was full and great for socialisation and meeting new people too...staff are friendly and very caring they assure that we are served on spot and we get the friendliest experience as we can and pricing is great not expensive but reasonable...its little aside from town over the bridge but would recommend anyone who is in Berwick to visit the Riverside Cafe and I am definitely sure you won't be let down because the staff in there are really 😀 lovely 😀 👍 and they are assuring that everyone get the best café experience in Berwick with lovely food and hot or cold drinks. Would recommend for an afternoon lunch for sure...don't forget they do make lovely salads and jacket potatoes too...

Our first visit since new ownership - Oh dear, what a disappointment!! We ordered a takeaway sandwich, cake and tea and wished we hadn't bothered...the sandwiches were on very small but ridiculously thick and rather dry bread - the basic filling was lost! The cake was tasteless and so wet and heavy I was sure it wasn't cooked properly. The tea was the redeeming feature of our lunch and that was due to the fact that I was allowed to put my own milk in so it was to our taste. Whilst we awaited our order we also noted that there seems to be a shift in the normal bustling atmosphere in the cafe, the atmosphere must have left when the previous owners did. ..We have been regular customers at Riverside but we won't...

Stumbled upon this fabulous little cafe during a quick visit. I had my first 'stottie', which contained sausage, bacon, egg, hash brown, beans, potato scone and haggis in a type of bread. (It should have had black pudding too but I asked them to leave that out). It was absolutely delicious and I would definitely order it again. The coffee was pretty good too. Definitely about 3 or 4 league up from chain brands like Costa and Starbucks. Prices were very good too and the service was excellent. (One of the women who worked there drew me a map of how to get to the local cricket ground). I only wish I had more time available to really enjoy the ambience. Would definitely recommend anyone to go there.

Lovely friendly staff but food wasn't great - toastie was tasty but so thin it was almost non existent, coffee was ok but - no alternative milks?? Even though there is a sign up saying to talk to staff about any allergies/intolerances - very odd. Chocolate cake would have been nice if it was warmed up as came out of a cold display cabinet. We wouldn't really go back, except if we wanted breakfast or cheesy chips as both looked amazing and good value for money.

Roadworks outside, welcomed in by very cheery lady’s. Ordered breakfasts (it was after 12 but still got them). They were all perfectly cooked, delicious and plates were cleared. I go a latte, and it was probably the best I’ve had. Definitely recommend, and will be returning. Staff assistant manageress was soo nice, and this place is Dog friendly. Gave us bowl of water as we sat down for dog.Thank you . And Dog Friendly.
