Spur of the moment trip as we were passing and the boat was due out. Tried to pay but as its cash only we were cutting it fine to get to a cash point but with a bit of help from the lovely lady in the kiosk I booked online for a later trip and she transferred us back to the one we wanted as we had missed the automatic cut-off time by a minute or so. Myself, husband and 2 teens boarded and chose to stand at the front (there were seats available). This is our 2nd time on the boat, last time was a lovely summers day last year. This time was 1st November. Not much wildlife to be seen today, gulls, heron, swans and a lone seal showed its face for seconds but the crew still did their best to point things out and give info. As the sea was extremely choppy we bobbed about as we sailed out to sea getting soaked as we went from sea spray, it was so much fun. The "moody teens" were happy and screaming with laughter and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Due to the lack of wildlife from bad weather the crew took us back into the river then sailed further up the river to look for wildlife there. Again sights, points of interest and snippets of history relating to buildings and bridges were given in a very informative way. The trip lasted an hour or so. We find all the staff helpful and friendly, we love this boat trip and will board again on future trips to Berwick. We highly recommend it to all ages. Our booking, date transfer confirmation and receipt were all emailed for...
Read moreWell, mid November and I hadn't seen any dolphins for a few weeks, had been looking out from the beach every time I was out. So when I booked this trip for myself and my mum and sis, I thought we might just see some seals and of course plenty of beautiful birds. Holy-moly! If we didn't see a huge pod of over 50 dolphins whilst out to sea! Everyone was absolutely thrilled as no one was really expecting to see them today! Mother dolphins with their young playing along-side the boat, loads of them just enjoying our company, it seemed, almost as much as we were enjoying theirs, ABSOLUTELY THRILLING!!! They stayed with us for ages, the skipper stopped the boat a couple of times, and turned around so we stayed with the pod and it really was unbelievably breathtaking and sooo special! We felt so blessed to have interacted with them for so long. I also saw a couple of razor-bills, and as we came back in to port a couple if seals. SUPERB TRIP! Skipper gave us an excellent commentary on what we were seeing, a bit of history and natural history, excellent. It was my second boat trip and the first one up the Tweed a couple of years ago was also really excellent, with very interesting commentary, we learned a lot. Thank you so much, we will never forget these...
Read moreDid the estuary trip with Berwick boat trips. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and didn't have long to wait for the boat to arrive amd disembark the previous passengers and get our group on board.
The boat is spotlessly clean very comfortable and stable.
The skipper and his mate were very courteous professional and knowledgeable regarding the local area and wildlife around us.
Nows the best part as well as the various seals and birdlife. We also encountered a beautiful Humpbacked whale the skipper was as excited as the rest of us to see this stunning whale which stayed around the boat for a few minutes even breaching and blowing right next to me.
It was truly magical and very emotional to see something this beautiful up close.
Unfortunately no dolphins showed but me and the wife walked out to the lighthouse on the pier. And the boat turned up on the next trip bringing a pod of around 5 dolphins who were jumping and playing around the boat we had some amazing views.
So I credit this to Berwick boat trips they definitely delivered dolphins🐬.
I highly recommend Berwick boat trips my wife and I will definitely be returning for another adventure.
