In Whitby for the day and as we had been here twice before on previously, we thought we would go again, however we barely got through the door and were looking for a seat when we were rather abruptly told thst they were closing, there were still customers sat at tables eating and drinking, this was in the middle of the afternoon on a sunny Tuesday July day and Whitby was really busy so we ended up going to Costa, we normally like to patronise small local businesses but with an attitude like that, sorry but we won't be returning, if they had bothered to put a closed sign in the window we wouldn't have gone in but as there were already occupied tables and an open sign we thought it was open, perhaps they have one rule for serving locals and another...

NOT recommended for anything.The wife & myself went in with our 9 month old son to feed him.the high chairs were dirty & broken & after we were almost finished feeding our son they very abruptly shouted ARE YOU GOUNG TO BUY ANYTHING.like we were just going to feed our son then go an absolute joke STAY AWAY from this place odred 1 tea & took it out.there was a man came in with FOUR dogs on the way out he let his dogs stand next to a lady who was sitting down eating.& they all shook themselves there was dirt & fur flying all over.why not take them outside.I am definitely REPORTING THIS PLACE TO THE TRADING STANDARDS for food health & safety.100% stay away unless you want to catch food poison don't even have a food hygiene...

Food and prices were good. Staff were very slow, it took 30 minutes to queue to order food even though there were not many people. Food took 50 minutes to arrive despite everyone else in our party being served and finishing their meal when ordering at the same time. A lot of people looked like regulars and were served their food right away. We chased the order 3 times only to be told soon each time. Our 1 year old and 3 year old were getting historical by this point. Staff did not even apologise for the wait. In total it took a large chunk of our day in Whitby for average food.
