We stopped in this pub when on our way home to Chester from Sheffield, we were the only customers in the pub last night. We were there at about 7pish... Apparently it has been newly taken over...My husband and I thought it a bit odd that our starter was served at the same time as our main which, consequently meant we had a longish wait...however when our food arrived it was like having a delicious banquet. The food was hot, freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. They are introducing Persian food (we didn't have this though) and a small choice on their 'pub food' menu. We would recommend you supporting this pub as the food was good value. One negative was that the whole place looked like it could do with a good hoover, including the loos! Read moreSadly this pub has seriously gone down hill. Opening weekend my first pint was taken away even though I had only one sip because we were playing pool. I paid for another pint not to cause a fuss as the manager is nutz. Later my 7yo was accused of stealing food because the manager thought we hadn't paid, but never checked with staff first. Early doors the beer is bad and they don't understand when I ask if the lines have been cleaned. I live over the road so the only reason I keep going is for the pool table. The pool table wasn't there today so absolutely no reason to go in...
