I have read a couple of reviews that are 5 star but my experience was quite different. Staff were friendly and polite though. But what was really irritating and wrong in my opinion was the fact that the member of staff who was making the drinks well it was ethier his gf or a female friend (she had green or blue hair and had a dog) she was behind me in the queue and as I was waiting outside for my latte she left with her take away coffee before I got mine so she'd obviously been given preferential treatment she even had the front to give me a little smirk as she walked off which massively encouraged me to do this review.

Without exaggeration I waited 15 minutes maybe more for my latte (there was no food order with my order). They said there was a wait after I'd paid for it but if I'd known the wait was 15 mins I wouldn't of bought a drink and gone elsewhere it was not busy in there there was no queue when i entered the cafe hust one woman in front of me.... When I eventually got my coffee it was colder thank lukewarm so for me thats unacceptable I didnt bother asking for another one I just won't go back in the cafe ever.

It wasn't that busy in there to justify a 15 minute wait for just a latte but of course someone behind me in the queue got served before me so I guess I had to wait a bit longer didn't I !!!! In fact that woman got her drink before a couple of other customers aswell not just me.

Another reason to give 'HATCH'...

New favourite spot. Smashing coffee [skinny iced decaf mocha] served by the utterly lovely Wills and Blake in what you can see is a beautiful cup. Their warmth and demeanor with every person that walks into The Hatch creates a lush vibe. Their personable nature with their customers I’m sure is going to bring them so much success - it kind of feels like the neighbourhood coffee shop you see in American movies whereby in no time they know your name and order [and that in itself is utterly wonderful]. The high quality produce that they’re selling also brings a lovely USP to The Hatch. I have only frequented twice thus far but the cold pressed juices by ‘Press’ have got me hook,...

Decided to try this new place for coffee with a friend. Place was quite empty, ordered a latte & flat white from chap holding a none too clean cloth. Drinks both came quickly but mine in a cup minus a saucer or spoon! I got myself a spoon and a saucer arrived a few minutes later, no comment and complete with chip in it. Friends latte wasn’t very hot. Decided to visit the toilet before leaving and was shocked to see everything covered in a layer of dust and a disgusting toilet that obviously hadn’t been cleaned for some time. As this was a unisex toilet the back of the toilet showed some customers hadn’t aimed very well!! Definitely will not...

As Aussies that regularly visit Bristol, UK we are always on the lookout for good coffee and great cafes. The Hatch Cafe at staple Hill Bristol is an absolute cracker! The proprietors, Blake and Will have a great business going and they are good fun to banter with as they serve you terrific coffee and tasty baked goods. A lovely position in a square on the staple Hill High Street. Bristolians! Get along , you will not regret it. Cheers John & Wendy get along to The Hatch. #thehatchstaplehill

The blt was delicious, the owner was informitive about where he got the bacon source at in the butcher and baked his own baguettes. The chai latte was a hit for me and the hubs too, I love the translucent cups and bamboo straws, it's unique way to serve. The atmosphere is calming with the beautiful plants, there is nice air con inside as well with this heat wave.
